i dont know if its just me but ive played with my family all the time and last season 34 we got alot of screams this season makes us want to quit as we done countless rifts of different levels and still cant get even one during season 35 were close to giving up at this point anyone know why its so hard this season
I’m sure you mean greater rifts… You’re still in the start of season with 587 paragon points and probably need a good deal of nodes in the altar. Just keep playing and things will improve. It’s not harder than before it’s just less luck than you have been used to.

i cant go further in the alter as it needs one also
last season i got at this point 5-6 of them
Just hit very low tier Greater Rifts, it’ll eventually drop. Got to give a heads up, its drop chance is estimated to be around 5% which averages a drop per 20 GR clears. That still doesn’t change the fact that there’s a 95% chance of it not appearing, so be mindful of the perception of your own luck.

also how is paragons equal to starting i have goten stuck where it requires one in the journey
You mean the journey of unlocking the Altar (not the season journey). Well, getting to the point where you need a scream for the Altar means that you have cleared a GR 80 which means that you can run T16 content, Visions, Greater rifts above at 75 and probably higher and that you can level up the powerful legendary gems which will make you more powerful and in turn get more paragon points which will also make you stronger and faster and increase your chances of getting needed stuff.
In short; you’re not really stuck game wise, you can still move on at a good speed.

If you want that Scream quickly, you need to play efficiently. As Nak said, do any GR you can do very fast, best to do in the 2 min average range. The drop rate is 5% regardless of the GR level, so no need to do runs that are high, but taking you 10+ minutes to do.
2 min average you can bang out an easy 20 GRs an hour, which should net you 1 Scream per hour. Remember, RNG = RNG, so you won’t get 1 every 20 runs. It may take a few hours to get one, but it can take you 3 runs to get 3. That is how random works. The only way to even out random is to do a lot of runs.

The quickest and easiest way to get screams is to forget about them. This tricks the game into thinking you don’t want them. If the game thinks you don’t want them and don’t care about them, they will drop/appear. As soon as you start wanting and hoping and expecting them, they will never drop. Trust me this is how it works
no i mean the season journy i have done a 85 gr and i still cant get a scream after around 100-200 runs
That’s poor luck. No criticism but it seems that you haven’t played much since you last posted.

Just for your information, the GR level does not affect the drop rate of Screams.
So just bad luck

Two things you can try. I do this one with Kadala, Urshi, the cube, and the Mystic. Try for a max 4-letter word combo bonus when the drops come. It won’t affect RNG, but it will make you feel better.

Blizz uses Skynet level AI. It knows what you want and will jam you for pure spite. Use reverse psychology. Try to not get screams and they will rain from the sky. It is the only way to defeat the AI.

I haven’t got more than one this Season that I only spent at Altar. I need to complete an Echoing Nightmare but I got stuck at Season Journey. I cleared around a good 50 Greater Rifts at least or close to that but no Petrified Screams so far. If I had around 3-4 Petrified Screams, that would have make the rank 70 gem requirement of Season Journey a breeze but this Season I had no luck there so I slowly rank them up as I go.
I’ll just keep speed clearing the low tier ones for upgrading some level 0 gems. I have been wanting to try something with Moratorium but I wonder if I can make that before Season ends.
The best way to do petrified screams is to look at Chat and when someone says they are doing screams, join them
