Pestilence Necro

So I am basically following the maxroll version for the corpse lance Pestilence necro, which I never liked because it is just so cooldown dependent (it was awesome for those 10-15 seconds of land of the dead and the ensuing corpses afterwards, of course).

But I am trying it again and it isn’t as bad as I remember. You can get cooldown pretty high as is (like 62%+)and then the blood cooldown passive skill as well, makes it really not so bad. Blood Rush molting and Devour spam are of course the name of the game just keeping gogok and your corpsewhisper and everything like that still going, as you evade enemy attacks and kite group them for the next big cooldown.

Of course I am using the Reilana Version with Jesseth set and Captain Crimson set. So Simulacrum Reservoir is used combined with Lotd. The healing skeletons are nice to command around, and they can heal you pretty quick if/when you inevitably take a hit.

The gearing is interesting too, with cooldown being highly prioritized, and Crit Chance not as much due to using the Cold rune. Crit it still good of course, but there are some items such as amulet you might say “I’d rather have cooldown than crit chance, please”. It also features Strongarm bracer, which confused me. But I guess Strongarm can roll Knockback as its secondary stat (and maybe other items can too, I never really considered it or seen it before now)

Anyway, yeah it is my next pet project to get better gear for it and really push it to the best it can be because I hated it but now I think it’s kinda nice

We should open a new section on the forums, “One day, one build, by SuperCuddles”

I prefer other resources.

According to Icy Veins, it shows similar and lists both Pestilence and Trag for options. Is this similar for you?

Would you rather no one posts here at all ever? Truly, what is the problem with discussing player experience and builds on these forums?

The version I’m using is on my seasonal necromancer. I’m enjoying it

There is no problem. Trolls will always invent reasons to complain about something people who they’re not friends with do. I really don’t understand the point. I don’t know why they can’t just appreciate the fact that there are still people out there who enjoy this game, albeit in their own ways sometimes, instead of people just letting it die off. I don’t understand why amicability is such an alien concept to some people.

Take my comment with humor, not with distrust

ps: not sure about the “distrust” trad… well, it was just humor.

Hmmmm. 3465 posts and I hardly ever participate?

As for the “likes”. I give them out generously when I agree with someone (believe it or not, I have even liked some of your posts). When I disagree with a post, I will generally quote what I disagree with and an explanation of why I disagree with it. If someone has been on the forums long enough, I generally have “liked” their posts or disagreed with them at some point. There are very few, if any, frequent posters over the years that I have “liked” all their posts or disagreed with all of their posts.

Do I agree with some people more than others, yes. Do I disagree with some people more than others, yes. That is just part of life.

At a certain point it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy fueled by victim mentality; one who only looks downwards at gutters, will only find trash wherever they go.

But anyway. I feel like for most use cases involving most people, video games are supposed to be fun first and foremost. So if Cuddles has fun seeing how far he can push his off-meta builds, that’s all that really matters in the end for him. Similar to how I have fun putting builds together just in general, even if I never stick with one long enough to “perfect” it (I tend to lose interest once I get to the augmentation phase).

Occasionally I’ll have an errant thought intrude which is like “I’m wasting time swapping to so many different things.” Then I remind myself, “video games are a waste of time just in general, but it’s fun for me to do what I’m doing” and that sets me back on track.

So, I liked a comment I found funny and now I am a crony?
Exactly how thin is your skin?

In case you haven’t noticed, you DO post a lot.
And no, I haven’t flagged a single one of your posts. None. Not even the one I quoted you from.
