Perfect Primals and Primordial Ashes

If I can have only one crafted Primal per build, then why not make it perfect.

It took me 20-25 tries to get Nilfur boots with Int, Vit, Armor, Meteor & Health Globes. Next was about 10 tries to get a Yang’s Recurve with 10% damage, CDR, AD & discpline.

Next I’m working on a Slanderer with 10% damage, AD, CDR & Life on Kill. I’m definitely using up my Primordial Ashes instead of just collecting them.

So what items have you been crafting with Primordial Ashes to get every stat?

How do you define “a perfect item”? Same item used in different builds may need different affixes.

That’s why I have two primal Yang’s Recurve. The one I use of GoD farming has 10% damage, elite damage and 55% RCR & discipline.

It’s what you consider perfect for whichever builds you want to run.

Necklaces and weapons. Everything else is pretty easy to get.

I’m not sure Nilfur’s is the best spot for the crafted primal.

I have a primal Halo of Karini with Armor, cc and CCD. I also have a primal Grand Vizier with IAS, 10% damage and AD.

So the boots were what I needed most.

I’m trying to craft a trifecta karini (crit-crit-AD/ias) for my tal build. Still no luck.

And a trifecta winter flurry (crit-hydra-AD) for typhon, but no luck there either.

So I’ve been using ashes I get them all season, and I’m still not there.
The search continues!

I got crit-crit-damage range and said “good enough” (and by good enough I mean I spent the rest of my ashes rolling more Karinis and didn’t get anything better)

Non-season I got crit-crit-rerollable after 5 primalizes right after the patch dropped, I think I used up all my luck.

Usually the weapon. Primal weapon comes with the highest damage roll, so getting one with all the right stats makes your build a bit more robust. If not weapon, then band of might for barb, krysbin for necro, karini for wizard. My third choice would be amulets. And lastly off hands and other items with multipliers that have a huge range.

I’ve been lucky with these nilfur : olimathu#2790 - Communauté - Diablo III (non crafted).

I hope you did not recraft the primal 20 times and instead always crafted non-primal boots. That way you could get back 55 ashes each time by salvaging the imperfect boots. I know this is probably obvious, but it wasn’t to everyone.

Because it’s RNG and your suggestion to remove RNG is terrible.

Yes, let’s also make ethereals roll perfectly too when that season rerolls. /s

I suggest you play Starcraft 2 if you don’t want RNG in your game.

No. I upgraded rares to legendaries and had dozens of Nilfur’s in my inventory to upgrade. If I didn’t get the right stats, I would salvage them.

Right now, I have 6 Slanderers in my inventory waiting to be upgraded.

I got the luckiest I’ve ever been this season on my wiz. A Primal weapon with perfect stats dropped from a GR, I got an ancient Karini with avg damage / Crit / crit 78%, so I crafted squirts.

I’ve also played the most ever as well, so more loot to get lucky with.

I got my primal nilfar boots on my barb. Thats how hard they are to get :stuck_out_tongue:

honestly I wouldn’t have even made a wizard if those didn’t drop…

Yep.
If you play enough, luck evens out!
