Parangon: I understand you want to make casual feel good but

I understand you want to make casual feel good and that they have a chance to be “on equal level” as better players, and I personnally think it’s not a bad idea. BUT:

  • They will quickly realize that the paragon cap doesn’t change much.
  • Paragon capped at 800 is low EVEN for casuals!

And now for the really bad point: Paragon capped at 800 will make all the more experienced players feel VERY bad.

Let me be clear : I love the idea of Paragon cap. I love the idea of SSF category. It adds challenge between players and cuts botting advantage a bit. But 800 is WAY TOO LOW.

In my opinion, the cap should be at 1500 if you want to keep it casual-friendly. (I wish it was 2000 but that might be too high for the very-casuals.)

Am I an ecperienced player? I have thousands of hours in D3.

I do not feel very bad about the 800 point cap. In fact, I am quite happy about it.

Fully agree OP, a cap between 1500 and 2000 seems right.

I agree, if not for the sake of added incentive to play longer. 800 is achievable within a matter of a day or two, and at most a week or so depending on your play style. They could even do something like points up to 800, then diminished increases to main stat for another 400-700 paragon.
