Is it possible to increase the number of paragon points at movement speed? I would like the game to become faster, more frenetic. Perhaps a prudent amount could be up to 200 points maximum or perhaps no limit.
It would mean they change the max cap from items/paragon from 25% if it happens. Remember that right now if you say have 12% on boots then putting anymore then 13% in paragon would be pointless due to the cap.
Plus there are plenty of builds with super speed movement already. Feels kinda pointless.
We already have speed-farming builds that fly through rifts in 2 minutes. Why do we need to be even faster than that?
For even more speed obviously
Not really a valid reason. Sorry.
Run the chicken for a while then you will want to slow down.
Good thing nothing is up to you, huh?
I’d be willing to bet you agreed with me.
Go away and don’t make such useless posts.
if you want more speed you might want this ring

First, on the Utility tab, Gold Find should be changed to Pickup Radius at P100. After that point, gold is plentiful, so the stat is meaningless.
Second, the best way to fix the galactically stupid Paragon Point distribution system is to remove the caps, and the forced allocation rotation.
Because of the cap, at P800, every single character is virtually identical when it comes to Paragon distribution, and because of the forced allocation rotation, even on the way to P800, everyone is virtually identical.
Remove the cap, and remove the forced allocation - which would allow the player to put every single point into one property from P1 - and you would begin to see differences in the way players distribute points, which would make a functional and visible difference in the way the character plays.
Because of the forced point allocation rotation, the tiny little bit of variation based on player choice that we have now in allocation from P1 to P800 is little more than an illusion of choice, and in addition to having a forced rotation per category, the points might as well also be automatically allocated for each property per category.
If there were no cap, you would see characters that are fast as lightning, but as fragile as cotton candy. You would see some characters so tough they could stand in a Molten explosion at GR120, but take all day to kill a single skeleton. You might see one character whose only job would be to pick up Progress Orbs in a Rift, with his 50 yard Pickup Radius.
With no cap, and no forced allocation rotation, Paragon points would make a meaningful difference in both the way the character is built and played.
I already use many things to increase the speed, do you not have cravings for more power or more speed? they are left alone with what the game leaves them. I think it would come very well in builds in which it is impossible to equip objects to increase the speed of movement, it would be in the case that you feel that you have too much power, you simply equip it in speed and so you do grs in less time or for farming.
With no cap we’d see everyone except thorns builds put enough points into CHC to get it to 100% and then dumping everything else into CHD.
You can use a Krelm’s Buff Belt:
Gives you 25% greater movement speed – together with 25% standard max it gives you 50% increased speed.
I frankly don’t see why you would need to move faster. You already have an extra 25% ms with both paragon and gear, and every class has at least one skill that significantly enhances ms that are widely used in speedfarming builds.
Imho, the game’s already fast enough. Way too fast, in fact, which only contributes to the arcade-ish feeling it has. To be perfectly honest, I really, REALLY hope they don’t stick to this type of work frame for D4. I appreciate far more a tactical and poised approach to combat and gameplay that conveys a more deliberate feel in the way your character moves and reacts. D3 has great gameplay, but most of the time I can’t help but feel spamming my stuff is just way too forgiving, and the racing component only exacerbates that.
Removing the cap only works if there’s statistical parity or builds that work differently enough that they want to concentrate on different stats.
Unfortunately, that situation doesn’t really exist in D3.
Mechanics that benefited from this:
- Farming
- All the builds specializing even more their characteristics
- conquest of campaign mode
- grs speed
- meta
- all the game
any thinking being would realize that this would do the game well, but there are people who insist on staying in the same and usually are the same as those who curiously have a low paragon.
anyways they wont do that uncap movement speed is nonsense, we already have speedbuilds for all classes and we can clear a rift in 2-3 mins, what do u want? clear rifts in 30 seconds?i dont think so, there is a ring that gives you 60% movement speed!! and that is already quite fast actually, i dont feel we need more movement speed (because that actually will break the game, we need some bounders) , and i have several speedfarming builds (jumper monk, steed charge crusader, vault dh, teleport wizzard and ww barb)
Sure, lemme put those 500 points into CDR, and another 500 into RCR for good measure.
without sarcasm, right? lol
I’m interested in just the core tab. I’m not interested in other values.
