Paragon farm tips & tricks?

Hi,

Despite pretty good gear ( para 1700, non season playing ) I can’t really do GRs over 110+. Searched a bit on the internet and found out that you actually need a lot of paragon to reach high GRs.

My question is? What is the fastest way of farming paragon?

In my case do as many as GR 110 which takes me ~ 14 mins or 105 which takes me ~ 9 mins?

How do you do it?

Highest grift you can do in less than 5 minutes has always been the golden rule for farming paragon.

Wow, thanks I was doing totally wrong then!

Yep Yep, as you get better items (you will eventually) the grift level should increase so your farming xp per hour goes up too. GRIND GRIND GRIND :joy:

GL and HF.

With 1700 paragons you should be able to do gr 110+

Anyway best way to farm paragons is play something like zbarb, vyr wizard, zned or mage nec and speedfarm 110s or even 115s in 3 minutes.

Personally i am always playing what i liked but i use zbarb for paragon farming

Advice I heard from a streamer (forget who): treat the ground in town like it is made of lava… IOW, minimize time in town fluffing around.
Only empty out your inventory when it’s full, not each trip.
Only go over potential gear changes every once in a while in batches, not every trip.
Etc.

As stated, your looking for round about 5min clears. If has to be a balance between being quick but not so fast where your

  1. nerfing your potential gains per GR token
  2. burning GR tokens so fast that you need to now burn some time farming new ones.

If the GR is taking to long then while your getting good XP from the monsters and from the turn in, your rate is slower since a good chunk of XP comes from the turn in and your missing out on more legendary chances as faster kills mean more loot. Every 5 or 10 (can’t remember) GR you go up, 1 extra loot is dropped.

Play the game like a crack monkey because that’s fun. /facepalm.
The advice in this thread is true though,

Learn to play a support class. Preferably a zMonk or zBarb. Copying skills and items from the leader-boards does not mean that you know how to play the class. Do your own research as different DPS carries and Rift Guardian Killers require different setups, not much but minor changes to play-style. The Do’s and Don’ts. Try to make friends with higher paragon players.

Stack XP pools 10 times (yellow pools).

Playing meta bs it’ll boost you paragon faster than you are ever imagine.

Xp farming is split in 2 modes:

Solo (not recommended) as others said, aim for 5 min or less, preferably 3 min clears. Solo xp is not ideal.

Group. Most recommended as xp is multiplied due to strength with numbers buff. 2 forms of xp grind:

Rat runs : 3 min 110-120+ best source of xp mode (117-120 yields equivalant or more xp than 10 min 145+). Best source of low level gems up to 120+

4p meta: 10 to 14 min 145+ best source of top gems and top augment farmings. Xp is decent but inferior to rat runs.

Roughly 3 min 115 rat = 10 min ish 145 meta.

You can run off meta speed runs such as vyr runs for 120+ up to 130 ish, but its xp reward is not as ideal. Same as any class/spec combo runs at any speed tier.

If you are efficient at xp farmings. 4k paragin should be reachable in the next 3 months playing pretty casually.

join a clan with many active members who play meta or exp runs. You can make a zmonk (heal monk) to get into the meta game. You will level up your paragon very quickly. And along the way you might want to try zbarb or rgk once you have enough experience.
