Im curious if a Pain Enhancers lvl 25 affix considers Rend to be a bleed and if it would be better for the added attack speed for a WW barb?
The Pain Enhancer is a mandatory gem in the old WW build. For the current new version the PE isn’t really useful as you don’t need that much attack speed.
Taeguk is always mandatory for WW.
The main source of damage is from Rend and not from WW now so as long as you can get to 2aps, you don’t need any more speed.
It does, the effect just comes from anything close by bleeding regardless the source.
But as previously stated attack speed is kind of redundant to WhirlRend as Rend has no benefit from it. However it csn be used to increase the rate of Stricken stacks, but this is mostly relevant to bosses where multiple bleeding options are rather limited.
