Option to turn off / disable Flash on hit

I think a lot of players would really love to have an option to turn off / disable the flash on hit, like Diablo 4 option.
It really hurt the eyes to have hundred of flash every minute, I tried using Reshade but couldn’t make it work, is there any other way to disable or at least town down flash on hit ?
If it’s not possible to have this option from a technical point of view, would it be possible the already existing option that reduce FX also reduce the lightning of the flash on hit ?

under my documents / diablo III / D3pref.txt, you can turn off chroma effects. Just change
this line from 0 to 1:

DisableChromaEffects “1”

Thank you for the idea, I tried it but it doesn’t disable the flash on hit on monsters, it would be a huge qoL for me if there is a way to do it.

Rip didn’t work for you. Oh well.

It’s the same in Immortal too.

I can’t stand the flashes for every action from salvaging to clicking on the ground in open world.

We’re you aware that there are video settings to mitigate this?

What settings ? low FX doesn’t disable it.

There are no video settings for the FLASH in Immortal.

I’ve looked multiple times for it and no luck: I have to turn my head before the flash hits each time.

What are you playing Immortal on?

PC only

(must be at least 20 chars.)

If you don’t mind me asking, nvidia or AMD?

@Mattelot Nvidia ASUS ROG STRIX GTX 1070 TI

My feeling is that playing Immortal on a phone the flash doesn’t hurt the user much.

The ‘flashing’ is an integral part of the video effect throughout the gameplay.

I would just like to be able to tick a box and remove that “flash” completely.

There are various settings that some versions of drivers have to “mitigate” certain features such as that for some users who’s vision is more sensitive. Sometimes, some simple settings can minimize the effect’s ability to irritate you such as adjusting the refresh rate. If I had a nickel for the number of times I discovered someone had a display capable of a much higher refresh and the user had just never adjusted, I could buy you a Big Mac meal.

Also the display type can have a marginal effect. I game on OLED, which has a much lower response time, therefore, flickering like that is more prominent since the transition is quicker. Lowered response can add a more dithered effect.

Another thing one could try is in the nvidia control panel, disabling DSR.

DSR was alredy “off”.

I looked at all the other setting in control panel and ingame and looks like I’m out of luck.

But thanks for your help @Mattelot.
