I would like to see an option in settings to disable the red, green, and gold beams of light from ancient items on the ground. Totally unnecessary imo.
Really? Of all the options you could have asked with your first post you chose a beam removal button?
Come on man!
Chat window removal, sassy comments mute, map window zoom, fast buying (ctrl) at Kadala… And You choose beams…
No. If anything, they should add a new minimap icon for Ancient item so I don’t have to take all legendary items on the ground.
Actually,Pre beams of light it was really easy to miss Legs on the ground in a mass of item drops . Unless you actually played the game for any amount of time you would not understand. The color of the legs could blend into the background and tthey were very easy to over look .On more than one occasion while going back through a map I would find one that I just could not see the first time in the piles of loot . Set items stood out more so they were easier to spot and not as big of a potential problem as legs .Set items on the ground they would jump out at you.
An odd opinion. Why do you think that feature was implemented in the first place? People used 3rd party apps to help sort out loot drops on the ground and because using 3rd party apps is against the ToS, features like the beams were implemented directly in the game. As mentioned, spotting legendaries before the beams were implemented was a bit dodgy at best. It was a good QoL improvement and even other ARPGs use them too.

Especially for those of us who are colorblind. Why legendary, rare, and set all have to be orange/green/yellow is beyond me but I actually cannot tell the difference between them. The beams of light and mini map icons were godsends for not missing loot.
Yup. I am slightly Red/green so I can lose thinges in loot piles very easily .
First a guy asking for an auction house and now this.
What I’ve said, whenever there’re new things for D3, the forum fills with people giving the worst ideas ever. It’d be better for devs to read the forum and do the opposite.
