How do I disable the game loading cutscene. Its when you first start the game and it is telling the story. I have to hit escape every time. It not an in-game cutscene, those are set to skip.

I don’t want to do that. On my other computer it doesn’t load that screen.
Compare the two settings?
Go to Options>Gameplay and select Skip all cutscenes.

In the settings it set to skip. This when you first fire up D3. A cutscene starts before it loads your heroes.
Your D3 profile (D3prefs.txt) might be messed up. Rename or delete this file, it will reset your profile settings. Then you can try to skip them again.
You may need to reset your graphic preferences etc afterwards, but that may fix this issue.
You can find the file in your Documents\Diablo III\ folder. Make sure you are not in game when doing this.

I know this is an old post, but this is exactly what I was looking for. Recently purchased a new computer and couldn’t figure out why I was seeing a cut scene every time I logged in. Thanks again from 2 years ago!
