OK, Hot for the new 13" MacBook Pro with new M1 Chip

Played for 2 hours without any issue. The fan never rammed in. The fan would kick in on my iMac within 10-20 minutes

Why won’t they tell us this. You are speculating.

From here: applesilicongames

These seem to be the optimal settings for M1 Macs.

Reflections: ON Texture quality: HIGH Shadow quality: HIGH (Not High (Smooth) as I found that drops the FPS by about 10 fps on average) Physics: HIGH Clutter density: HIGH Antialiasing: OFF

Thanks for the settings tip, I had everything maxed out. The game plays well on MacBook Air M1 however the bottom of the laptop gets really hot after playing for awhile (and burns through the battery quickly). I’ll try the mentioned settings and see if it runs cooler. A native version would be nice!

I highly recommend playing connected to power, rather than on battery. Also, you might look into some sort of stand that allows the bottom of the laptop to be raised off the desk surface, while allowing for unobstructed airflow underneath the laptop. That allows heat to vent much more effectively.
