D3 planner is not wrong, weapon master + nutcracker adds a lot of damage to rend (because of how the rend damage takes in consideration CHC and CHD), the thing is to get these numbers you have to equip weapon master, this passive adds some damage for the nutcracker setup, but it’s totally useless in the IB setup, because it’s 8% dibs… if you compare the IB setup with the right passive (berserker rage instead of weapons master) IB setup deals more damage and it’s tankier.
