Now they are being sued by California

This last statement of your reminds me of something every Communist revolutionary ever has stated. Turns out that when you delete reality and replace it with your own concoction, horror results.

Some pro level trolling going on here, holy demon poop!

Unfortunately this kind of things still happens even today. I don’t know how it will turn out but I do hope that California and Activision-Blizzard will settle this in the best possible way. A way which will inspire others, rather than being the way that emotions dictate.

It’s not the bad actions that will get my attention, there’s a structure in place to deal with that, but how this will be resolved deserve all my attention.

If you are referring to me, I will accept the compliment and a bottle of wine please.

Take the compliment.

I mean you’re super smart no doubt but damn dude you’re kicking up some dust for the sake of forum props on a D3 gaming forum no less.

I know you can do better.

I am horrified. Beyond belief.

I can’t speak for others. But ever since the ban of a certain person in 2019, i decided i wouldn’t buy another blizzard game until they proved themselves to me again. They didn’t. They haven’t. They continue to disprove themselves at every opportunity they get.

Their public statement on this just falls on my deaf ears. It holds no meaning to me.

God, i can’t even begin to say how horrified i am that someone ended their life because of these low life humans who couldn’t treat a fellow human with respect.

This needs to stop. The people that held positions to do something about this, but didn’t, should be held accountable, the people that committed these grave heinous acts, needs to be held accountable.

This is my break from doing actual legal work. I probably can do better, but I enjoy when a hypothesis works out exactly as expected.

Are you referring to…the pro Hong Kong pro player?

I most certainly am.

oh boi…
well, i guess this will kinda happen in any bigger company that is male dominated and isn’t particularly about actual good behaviour

Being “redpilled” is nothing to be proud of.

Paragon points also have nothing to do with the topic of the law suit. Nor does it have much to do with participation in this thread - given your own participation.

If all you have is “redpilled” vs “activist” and paragon points that is pretty sad.

P.S. I have been here over 20 years and you have zero idea what my gaming history is. You are going off my publicly available D3 account.

OH! And before the forum change over to new software in 2019 - I had over 40k! Mostly tech support/customer support.

Your contribution, by your own admission, trolling. I really should not take the bait.

I play on D3 on console, and, mostly, D2. I barely touched the PC version of D3, ever. And finally, the vast majority of my gaming time (which isn’t a lot, 2 hours a day at most) isn’t in Diablo at all. As for post counts, the vast majority of my posts here are about D2, or about D4. Very rarely do I actually talk about D3, although I sometimes do. What’s your point?

ALSO, I didn’t know you needed to be an “activist” to say “rape = bad”.

I just skimmed over google and twitter so I don’t have any strong opinion on the matter, neither I think I should even post. This is a well known thing over the industry and I don’t question anyone’s sincerity here.

If your company gets sued for this kind of debate, that means you’ll get the short stick. I can see Acti-Blizz remaining silent until quarterly reports at end of August. I imagine they will be addressing that issue with disciplinary measures to ensure investors nothing wrong with the company. We might not see this at the quarterly talks, but most likely investors will be talked over this before the call.
Because it really hit them on their stocks and might come back and bite if they don’t. If cube crawl is a thing they will buy new sturdier cubicles; if harassment and drinking is a thing then people who did that will face some consequences.

We only know a few people revealed themselves to left the company due mobbing culture and more people might come forward as the court cases continue. Also I’ll say it again, lay off of 800 was a bad move.

He’s just messing around as I see it. Keyboard activism goes both ways. What’s playing videogames of the subject company have anything to do with the human behaviour anyway? He might even have a benefit if this thread gets closed.

No, someone else said it was, and I laughed.

Your opinion on being Redpilled is not of interest to me. Play the game more, and talk about it less. That goes for every other keyboard activist here.

This is the worst strawman ever. My lord, how bad the average Joe or Jane is at arguing their point…

That is ok, being activist is also asking for employers and coworkers to:

  • Treat others with respect
  • Provide equal pay for equal work
  • Provide equal career paths and professional development for qualified and experienced staff
  • Ensure workplace is free from sexual harassment/abuse.

Says the person who resorted to paragon points…in a discussion that has nothing to do with the D3 game. Criticizing others for posting, when they themselves are posting…

   :woman_shrugging:

If you want to talk about D3, you might want to try posting in a D3 thread about the game.

This is like coming to an ice cream parlor and complaining they don’t serve steak.

I’m not arguing anything. Your mistake is assuming that I came here to argue or debate. I came here to express anger and frustration at the situation. I’ll leave the arguing to the people in court.

This is how every workplace should be. I honestly can’t believe we live in 2021 and we’re still arguing the same issues 60 years later.

I’m not even sure why this is a polemic thing to say. It’s basic morals. But hell, if it is necessary to go to the streets and protest for something basic like that, I’d definitely do it. Did it a lot on college days.

One thing that always confuse me about those derogatory terms ‘these people’ come up with, is how nice they make them sound. Being an activist is usually considered a very positive thing. Fighting for social justice sounds like something any decent human would do.
