. . . . and the developers are working from home, should we still expect the D4 quarterly update next quarter? If the shelter at home, runs for several months will they even have Blizzcon this year?
Are you speculating because you’re bored or do you honestly expect us to know the future?
People from Blizzard read the forum, yes I am bored.
Why not some people on the forum seem to know everything about everything.
Please stop. You are smart enough to know everything is up in the air right now. They are interviewing and working to hire 3 people to replace Nev.
Publishing - which is what the updates are, is handled by the Community team. So until we have someone on board and up to speed that is not going to happen. Of course, everyone being home is also a bit of a delay, maybe.
No drama please?
Lucky enough for you I happen to be one of those people.
Turns out no one can foresee the future. You are welcome.
Is Cydra going to be our new community manager in the interim?

Since when has he ever needed a reason to post a thread? Avalon is the original HailFail.
Love this comment ![]()
Combat the drama with pictures of something delicious you’re cooking…
I made chicken stock the other day and now have a pot of lentil, yellow split pea, and brown rice soup on the stove. Cumin, chili flakes, garam masala, etc. Diced tomatoes, carrots, celery, and shredded chicken to be added later. It does not look pretty though.
Oooohhh, hunger pains… Thanks MissCheetah.
She could at least stay until we get damn DH patch.
Stock rarely does look pretty. But the end result is usually quite tasty. ![]()
I’m pretty sure her career and financial well being (and other passions) are more important than being here for the DH patch. The patch will happen with or without her here. It’ll just have a less familiar communication until the new CM has been assigned and settled into a workable routine.
Where is the source on this?
Two of the positions are up on Bnet Careers. I linked them already. They have been up months. They will also have to replace Brandy. That means 3 new hires.
It’s gonna be really, really hard to fill her shoes. Of all the CMs we’ve had over the years, on any of the games, she was the most personable. She couldn’t always communicate with us like she wanted to due to managerial decisions, but few could come close to how she interacted when she could. I think the closest to her would be Jeff Kaplan, but he’s in OW, not D3.
Tried the instant pot to soak pinto bean.
Then turn them into Baked Beans making up the recipe as i go.
(It needs work)
Have you made baked beans before? It is kind of an art. I have my grandmothers half sized baked bean pot she used every Sunday. I have never actually tried making them though.

Photo surface. Antique buffet with copper backplate. From my great grandparents (estate caretaker who got hand me downs when they cast them off) to my grandparents and on down. Simple, but very functional. Late 1800 to early 1900’s.
So work is continuing but for some reason a blog post cannot be done from home?
I don’t think you understand. The Community Manager/Publishing, writes that blog after working with the Devs. It goes through them. There is no CM or Publishing for Diablo anymore.
They can borrow someone from another team, but that person would not know the game or our community that well. They would just facilitate getting the material through approvals, localization to other languages, and publishing.
Nev leaving was not due to work from home or anything. It is a move that has been planned for a long time because after a total of about 8 years with Blizz - first in CS on the forums for WoW, then in D3, she wanted to stretch her wings.
