This has more to do with upper management than the devs. I think we should lay off Nev and the dev team now that we have what we want, yeah (speaking generally)?
You are comparing apples with oranges can’t you see that? The ways Bone Ringers and the HF Shield work are completely different. At 20 stacks the damage multiplier will cap at 600%, which is still great compare to 150% on barb’s Lamentation re-buff.
The build is still super good in solo, just not that op in groups. If people push it will clear more than 140 next season, mark my word.
The culprit is as, I think we’ve always said. reverse archon. Fix that crap to make Archon stacks affect only Archon damage, and this macro-level timing Archon crap goes away. Yes, Vyr is going to get caught in the crossfire when Archon no longer buffs Chantodo’s damage, but this is also a GOOD change, because Chantodo’s is too good and Archon damage itself is too low.

Not sure, without I.T, we can go beyond breakpoint (you know how) with Pig Sticker Version, this method is even more consistent, and you don’t need to wait Lightning Breath for prock I.T
Not enough time for you blizz cause you are the slowest team on earth, but in fact between PTR and 22th productive poeple got plenty of time to balance and fix stuff.
They are fixing the TR set bugs…my soul is now at peace. Theres another bug if you tempest rush before activating sweeping wind the set bonuses dont activate.
What other current build other than thorn necro uses bone ringer? They nerfed solo thorns necro but as a group rgk it still works. It was probably the best implemented nerf they’ve done.

Thank you so much Nev, I greatly appreciate you mentioned DH here. As a very popular class (maybe the most popular, forgive me if I am wrong) in the game, DH ha been out of group meta for a very very long time. Impale seemed capable before, but nec is just better than impale, which really limit DH to be part of group play. DH also haven’t got a T1 solo build, like condemn in 2.6.1 or chantodo in last patch. The current strongest build for DH (rapid fire) isn’t fun to play (at least for lots of players). Therefore, I think improving the performance of two DH builds would be nice. Multishot for 4p speed exp runs (comparable with rat run or the new WW rend). Impale for RGK position. These improvements would also potentially get Multishot and Impale to the same tier level as the strongest solo build in the game.

( +17% EnemyHP per increased GR level // -14.53% per reduced GR level)
Lamentation nerf from 200% (over Rend dmg removal) to 150% is slightly more than -1GR.
The reduced Lamentation value compared pre OvershotMeme simply just exists as a symbol - implying a nerf to WWRend barbs was required so they can now “admit” the change having been “just a bit too much” (instead of having to admit the change was nothing regarding actual data but instead having blindly listened to false accusations on the forums of people that also didn’t base their opinion on actual data).
It is a way of diminishment to the excuses they had to make regarding the BlizzconChange.
I’m glad about the current value and won’t insist on the old 200% value. This way, both ends got something they wanted.

If you’re talking about the ring of fire, then yes. It was mentioned in the original post-PTR patch notes that came out a couple days ago.

That may be a smaller concern. It should be almost the same efforts to make Archon stacks affect only Archon damage vs. to make Archon stacks affect only (Archon + Chantodo’s) damage, because Archon damage
However, either effort is not trivial.

As guys already mentioned: @Hannibal , @Benny, I also confirm what not only one rune bugged, but all of them. E.g. this bug cause to suddenly resets stacks of Flurry rune when fighting with large hit box enemies.

You can simply do it by setting all area damage to 0(including gear bonuses) when player set it to 0 on paragon.

Otherwise some builds(like new monk set) are not playable on public games due to massive lag caused by area damage(I was asked to leave the game because of that).
I know that I can set AD on 0 on paragon but you might have items with AD bonus that you want to use cause are very good and can not re-roll out AD on them when enter public then reroll again when play solo… …
20 Stacks is absolutely nerfing to the ground and I think we can cap it on 60 stacks and changing the set damage bonus from 20000% to 10000% or even lower to make this build more interesting. And how about my Fist of the Heaven build? FOTH is under performing and it does need some love from developers.
FotH precisely now becomes an empowering skill to HF, which is why the 6p bonus cannot be lowered to 10k%, as that will lower FotH further. HF integrated into AoV is intended gameplay, unlike Bone Ringer with thorns necro. The devs are opened to review the 20 stacks cap post S19, if any further changes cannot make it in time prior to this season start (in fact i suspect buffs can come during a season, only nerfs gotta be after a season).
Can we get our favorite build S18 chant vyr back? What’s the point to nerf it if other classes are now op.
