yeah as the title states. i like the idea behind the theme but the execution has been piss poor to say the least. i jsut dont understand why the lighting on the screen has to change. with the fire snail trail the screen goes so bright its almost impossible to see. with the directionless snowball the screen goes almost completely white and hazy and is almost impossible to see. with the meme beam the screen goes almost completely black making it impossible to see. the only one that you can still see the screen with are the tornadoes. the only impact they have on game play is negative. perhaps if they actually did some damage it may be worth not being able to see anything on the screen. not even going to mention the fog horn audio que. at least i know when im about to not be able to see anything on the screen. double goblins never looked so good.

I’ve had two strange occurrences with Rift Bosses
the poison boss with the rats and the poison bombs —can’t delineate between the two
and then Sand Shaper/Zolten Kulle with the tornado things — I haven’t progressed very far but I can definitely see where this could be a future problem (especially on hardcore).
I imagine fire and ice could cause the same situational issues too. Added screen clutter gets crazy at times.
It’s kind of annoying when you play a snow themed GR and you get the snowball effect.
Try fighting Belial when you and he both start dropping green death spheres. This theme has potential but they clearly didn’t really think it thru. The effects shouldn’t persist when you port back to town, for example. And that fire wall moves so slowly (and often in a useless direction) that I don’t think I’ve had it reach a monster I was actually fighting.
I dont think that the season theme is that bad, but fire and ice are really useless.
The only issue I see is the tremendous amount of flashy visual FX, but D3 got way too much of that already, the cursor has been enlarged because of that… years ago!
Sure I got use to it, that said the season theme is neat, the issue lies under it.
100% agree. This season is bordering on unplayable…
I would not hesitate to turn it off if I could.
On my machine, when it goes dark, it goes REALLY dark and I don’t care for that. I don’t notice the snowballs, honestly, and I find the breath effect pretty distracting.
I would turn it off in an instant. It’s just an annoying distraction, nothing else.
-Season 19 theme, actually useful, something to take active advantage of, a positive impact on the game.
-Season 20 theme, opened up interesting gear combinations, not useless at all.
-Season 21 these, I just want it to go away!
