After dying in softcore, the usual resurrection buttons never showed up.
Took a pylon with nemesis, elite spawned and kiilled me.
Probably not very helpful information, but still.

Not specific to the PTR. Well known, old bug…

This ‘version’ is new to me, no buttons at all.
When I can’t revive, I usually did have the buttons showing, but these simply wouldn’t work. Also, in all cases I can remember having had this bug, I leveled up just before dying.
I even encountered once that the resurrection button did not work (while being enabled / no countdown), but revive in town button did work…
So, the differences are with what I have encountered before:
- I did not level up before dying
- The buttons didn’t even show up

For Blizzard. It seems related to the unkilled Blue elites (unkilled-enemy-remains-alive-but-inactive); I suspect a problem in the synchronization of state of character/mob between server and client only a part of the update arrived to the client; one possibility is as follow: the dead-alive elites are dead for the server but not for the client, it does not receives an update from the server, the server does not know the elite is up.
In the case of unrevivable character, there is also only a partial sync.
