Respec was actualy huge improvement to really bad start with certain builds having huge disadvantage.
Counterpoint: I used to be much more impressed when I saw offshoot crazy builds hit 99. Now when I see them, Iām sure they respecād, it doesnāt have the same wow factor.
Yeah but try leveling up Frozen Orb/ES sorc or even worse bild like Sanctualy pala or something like that, its extremely painfull.
I mean its just huge disadvantage vs some other builds.

What is the most straight-forward Sorceress build in D2:LoD to beat hell difficulty without using any respecs at all in light of the randomness with item drops?
Fireball+Frozen Orb sorc will get you through Hell without any respecs.

But I think that pure orb sorc can do it also.
I was concerned about auto-gold at first. But after a week, I kind of got over it. You still need to run over the gold, so you still need to do something.
Now I want an Auto-Refill Arrows options. ROFL
By ābeatā, I mean be able to complete the story on hell mode and to be able to farm reasonably well most areas without necessarily needing to play multiplayer.
I made a suggestion for better arrow management a while ago, but not auto-pickupā¦
Pick up arrow/bolt quiver, it refills equipped quiver and any non-full quivers in your inventory. If there are still arrows left, they stay on the ground. If you pick up an arrow/bolt quiver while your equipped quiver and inventory quivers are full, a new stack is started in your inventory.
This will help stop getting overloaded with quivers.
I usually pick up and restock with quivers I find.
So Iām not a big fan of double pickup.
You donāt have to double pickup unless you want to start a new stack.

That would be why I would find it annoying.
Especially, when half the time I pickup, is during battle.
There is no reason to farm more than one high lvl area location really.
For completing the game on hell, I have done it with pure Cold sorc but sometimes its restarting maps+a lot of teleporting and skipping monsters and also your merc have to be albe to kill a lot.
Sounds really annoying. Whereās the fun?
In the list of builds I put mine which is a Metorb build. It has a slow start because it was designed before respecs existed so it had a leveling guide with it. There is also a link to a downloadable single player character to try it out.

Keep in mind the Fireball/FrozenOrb is easier to use simultaneously, because Frozen Orb triggers the long cooldown of Meteor and vice versa.
