What’s with all the negativity about the patch notes??? Everyone’s talking about how the sets are ruined, nobody will play them, yadda yadda yadda.
I think people are overreacting and should take a step back and cool off. Even if blizzard did mess up, they’ll probably fix their error (see: 2.6.7a). I wouldn’t be too worried.
Does Blizzard pay you per post?

I’m still waiting for them to fix Firebird’s. That was almost four years ago now.
I’m not particularly disappointed regarding the new sets as I didn’t have much expectations for them (or at least the hydra set) once blizzard had stated that they had no plans on adding additional skills to Typhon and considering how adamant they have been with having most of the new sets buff only one skill; I don’t see that changing anytime soon.
Most of my disappointment lies in the nerf to Death Wish and Etched Sigil as that affects a number speed builds that I enjoyed using. Honestly though, that’s nerfs for you; I only wished Blizzard didn’t choose a method that affects such a wide number of builds, at least not without a compensation of some kind.
That said, I can certainly understand why most folks are upset. Some people have done extensive testing and provided solid feedback, and made reports regarding bugs; only for Blizzard to blatantly ignore most of said feedback, or didn’t provide much acknowledgement towards certain bugs (for example, I’m not sure if they fixed the Wizard Shield bug that occurs with the Typhon Hydra set; if they did, they made no mention of it in the patch notes that I’m aware of).
So I’m sure for most of those folks, the 2 week ptr must have felt like a waste of time.
I was wondering about that, thought that was odd. You can like a post, but not dislike.
Based on what they said before, that won’t happen until all classes have received their new sets. Hopefully they don’t break it anymore than it already is with their “fix”.
You dont play Wizard, and you think LoD should be worse than a set.
You are unqualified to tell us how to feel or talk down to us about how we will “cool off” about an underwhelming patch.

I don’t think LoD should outperform a set at the exact role the set was designed for. For example, if LoD rend could outperform wastes Barb, I would consider that an issue. Blizzard seems to agree as they worked to make TV set better than LoD hydra
My guess people did a lot of planning for the season with the PTR patch and didn’t expect the nerfs, they are just venting disappointment I guess…
I’m surprised there isn’t more doom and gloom, those posts are at least good (relatively) feedback then. don’t start it on the 13th, because I had other plans.
on a side note, going of the streams I’ve watched (mainly the one this morning by SvR, WD nerf isn’t that bad. the frenzy set isn’t worse then it was in ptr and the wiz set well, was anyone going to be able to play it with the bugs anyways? damage isn’t a concern on it if you can’t stay alive.

You cannot talk about LoD dude. LoD is about painstakingly gearing and farming materials. You cannot even properly gear out cookie-cutter sets.
Furthermore, the set and the LoD option were not similar. Different mechanics (with the dying heads) and Mammoth Hydra versus Frost Hydra. Showing your inexperience again.

You main a Necro, right? I sincerely hope you get everything you wish for in patch 2.6.9/season 21. Failing that, maybe you’ll understand why people who predominantly play Barbs, WDs, and Wizards are feeling a little disappointed by this new patch.
I think as a necro main I can definitely talk about it seeing as almost every competitive necro build runs it…
