No items dropping

Aside from nephalem globes that I get from elites, as well as the usual loot from the rift guardian, I’m not getting any drops whatsoever from enemies. No random equipment , no crafting material, no gold drops. I’m playing T16 nephalem / greater rifts, and ive played multiple hours like this, and still nothing drops. I know I should be getting at least death’s breath drops from the elite packs, so I’m at a loss for what’s happening. I tried restarting diablo 3, restarting computer, and reinstalling the game. Thanks for the help!

Nothing drops until the boss in GRs.

  • Except for the Rift Guardian, monsters in Greater Rifts don’t drop loot, so you can focus on killing as fast as possible.

So, not a bug.

Do you mean Nephalem and Greater Rifts?

Or do you mean Greater Nephalem Rifts?

They’re all Nephalem Rifts. But, one is “Normal” and one is “Greater”.

If you mean Greater Nephalem Rift, then you’ve already been answered, and this would not be a bug.

Aside from above post that Greater Rift drops no loot except at Guardian, below is if reg Rifts don’t drop items.
hit the ALT key near Windows Icon. Alt is default key to show hide loot on ground. Easy to turn this off by accident by alt+tabbing.
in gameplay settings, there is 2 or 3 setting for alt key. Toggle On/off, Only Show while hitting key, maybe just OFF as 3rd option.
“Toggle On/off” 1. if alt is pressed and toggles to OFF: will only show on ground if near items on ground regardless of Rift or GR. 2: Alt is pressed again and is now toggled to ON: shows all items on ground.
“Only show” wont show items on ground even if close unless you HOLD ALT key.
"OFF: (if option) never shows.
for a quick test ,go to Act 5 Battlefields…open armor racks, should drop 1 white item. you can test alt key and range of key and setting options until you see items.
or even better, just craft an item and drop it on ground (click and hold item and drag out of inventory area and release mouse)
Note: if its on toggle…hitting alt key show display a message in all chat message box to the effect of “items tooltip now on” or "item tooltip now off " depending on toggle state
