Why is it that when you bring in Season 24, all of us that have no one to run with can’t get any damn gear to drop?! Been running the best that I can but hell, I’ve never had this bad of an issue to get even basic gear for my build. WTF?!
I run solo, always have, and I do alright.
Feels more like you don’t know how to be efficient. For instance, what’s wrong with farming with an IK set? Both HotA items are easy to get (albeit, you might need to get lucky on the two hander), 1 hand mighty weapon also relatively easy to get. IK HotA is more than enough for you to farm Waste set. Instead, you seemed to have gone straight for Waste set.
I know this advice usually is takien as a rude thing but, in my experience with any of those games
Farm more. And remember to gamble blood shards and cube up yellows for a better chance of getting the particular item you want. I completely understand the frustration, but don’t give up

When you play solo, it’s easier to get the free set and farm the set you want from that. It looks like you’re trying to jump right into wastes instead of getting the rest of the free set, which is very easily done, even solo. Getting the free 6-piece set, even though not your preferred set, can do high enough torment to farm your desired set.

Actually I have all of the free set. Trying to farm the wastes set. But FOR ME, it just seems like it has been soo much more of a hassle to find any6 pieces for the wastes set as well as the gear that goes along with the build.

Not when you don’t like the play style of the free set I’m more inclined to quit than play a set I don’t like it just aggravates and annoys me and what’s the fun in that
I would rather play a LoD build to get the pieces I need instead of using a set where I don’t enjoy the mechanics.
Although you dislike or even hate the free set, using it to obtain the wanted set is far more efficient.
I -unfortunately- had to do that too this season. I really dislike that natalyas set for its play style. Absolutely disgusting.
However it did allow me to play on much higher torment level where getting my desired set was very easy though a bit time consuming.
Got my desired set from farming 6 pieces total which had duplicates. And when I had 6 pieces, I used the cube to turn duplicate pieces into the ones missing.
Upgrading rares in the cube also gave me some pieces.
This uses many DBs. So equip your follower with that double BD drop set bonus too.
Play the highest difficulty you can (efficiently), even with a set you don’t like. It is the fastest to solo your desired set.
Requesting carries in gr or doing lootsharing games would be alternatives.

The monk set this season was so bad I ditched it and switched to LOD to gnaw my way to Inna’s. Rayment is more like a 10-piece set and the bare Haedrig’s is useless.
