I just completed a Challenge Rift (356) in order to sacrifice the cache to the Altar of Rites, but the cache didn’t show up as mail or in my inventory at all. So, I ran it again, and I still haven’t received the cache, but I need it to advance the Altar.
Did you already do it last week?
New CR is coming this evening for NA, tonight for EU.
So, even if there was a bug, good luck on the next one.
