It’d have no difference in terms of power, only on terms of difficulty to achieve/optimal items.
I highly doubt crimson’s shows up because it forces you to take RORG as well as loses Dayntee’s. the 50% DR from Dayntee’s far outweighs the toughness increase of crimson’s and it forces you take to take 3 pieces vs just 1.
The belt procs very well with the Krysbin’s Sentence ring.
Both proc amazingly with Trang’s Scythe, which works via all Simulacra
Personally I’m running Scythe of the Cycle + maltorious’ as my weapons. With aura of frailty as your curse you don’t have to do anything to actively spread all three curses - you can just focus on spamming Bone Spear which, by the design of this set, is literally the only thing that does damage. So the more time you can spend casting it the better.
I have bone spike with the stun rune as my generator but I rarely ever need to cast it at all except on rift guardians. For clearing trash, enough stuff dies that your essence stays up from devour.
The build has some serious damage issues once you get to grift 100+ and scythe of the cyle + maltorious is the best option we have currently.
I thought of it but, don’t you need to maintain Bone Armor instead? (Because it reduces 4 seconds of Bone Armor per Bone Spear use)
Depending on how you wanted to build it, you could use Crimson’s set in combination with Devour - Voracious. The RCR that Devour would be giving you (2% per corpse, up to 50%) would actually more than offset the lost DR from Dayntee’s, while also letting you shoot off more spears for the same amount of essence.
Most characters want bone armor anyhow for the extra toughness. And it’s not too hard to maintain. Base CD is 10 seconds b4 any CDR. Duration is 60 seconds. So in the (max) 10 seconds between uses you’d need to throw out 13 spears in order for the stacks to fall off. Gets even easier once you have some form of CDR which most people grab.
You could go that route but now you’re losing the toughness of the max HP % from devour satiated that most people are running. And, again, at the cost of losing out on good damage via having RORG replace squirt’s, krysbin’s, or CoE. Since most people at the top of the leaderboard are running a combo of haunted/squirt’s in the neck/cube you are either dropping Squirt’s from the cube or one of the two damage rings for it. Or, if you’re really worried about how much damage you are taking, instead of replacing one of those rings with RORG to allow for crimson’s, just put unity in there. A much simpler trade-off for a lot of tankiness.
Dayntee’s is a very simple 50% DR. In order to make CC’s work you are losing two extra pieces + a rune just to maybe squeak out a little more damage reduction. It could work but so far no one at the top of the grift boards are doing it. If they are making any tradeoffs, it is a damage ring for unity.
I’m happy that this opens up a brand new way of playing instead of LotD. I still hate CoE rotations, but I prefer it nonetheless
