New patch fixed TR Epiphany teleport

Meaning it did away with it completely. I always played TR and loved the teleport (it was always in, at least in the console version, it had nothing to do with WKL), it wasn’t really difficult to manage it despite the complaints (although there definitely were situations where it hurt and you couldn’t avoid it without some kind of loss), but hey. T16 will be noticeably slower without it, escaping from wallers without DS and Serenity offline will be worse, leaving a few individual enemies for potential backtracking won’t be necessary or useful etc. It’s a cheap fix: TR simply doesn’t ever teleport any more as opposed to just not jumping backwards etc. Not happy about this tbh, but I know most people wanted this so just venting a bit

Yeah but the fix for TR stacks when released benefiting from the 6piece never made it to console for the new monk set.

You can make it work if you slot CS though.

Yes u can… But u gotta cast Inner Sanctuary. Currently thats the only way to release ur stacks and get a buffed atrack. Also if u go above 80 it wont work. He’ll stop abd cast Sanctuary.

Like i said the Streamers tested on ps4 at Blizzcon and not only do they not know about Barb abd Monks mechanically. Plus they were on PS4

I keep TR on R2 and Epiphany R1 and Sanc on X its easy. Also u should be holding down TR the whole rift and not let go.

Yup and Sanctuary as well. Good find on CS strike.

So basically, on console, play Sunwuko TR then? As it is only the new set that bugs out?

If you don’t mind not having a mantra or blinding flash and using CS Wall of Wind for proccing Cesar’s, you can use the new set easily, but SWK may be better for pushing. SWK has a bit more raw damage, but the new set has an extra free weapon slot for Echoing Fury or the elite damage weapon and needs less RCR so you can roll more AD and can make much better use of attack speed in general, including pylon. I like the new set a lot. And if you want TR for T16, it’s way better because of the increased movement speed with VW. It didn’t really matter while the Epiphany teleport worked but it’s much more necessary now. I like the new set a lot, but what it should also do is base the tornado damage on the hit that procced it, like AD. Always loved TR for normal rifts but stacking loads of movement speed makes it even more fun now. I’ll try it without WKL and with EF when I get a good VW, should be even better.

@SpinningFury: I had a bit of trouble figuring out how controller button priority worked when I played a short burst Flurry version with BoW. Eg if you want a generator to immediately interrupt TR, you need to set TR to a face button instead of the trigger, which is usually more comfortable, so I was aware of some of the quirks. Got to gr100 with that build btw  I’ll try it with the new set too after I get good enough equipment and farm a bit more paragon. Losing my PS4 save was a bit of a hit :-/

If u dont mind having Sanc on ur bar or CS.

Sunwuko TR drains ur spirit quickly very quickly. U gotta roll cdr everywhere, max spirit in paragons, no attack speed in paragons or gear.

The damage was noticably better imo, but gotta micro manage ur spirit and stop using TR at times.

Basically fir SwK TR ur gon a need more skill. PoJ is better for lazy man setup or new player

Yah i had TR on R2 and held it down the whole time with R1 epiphany and held it doeb the whole time as well. I never let go of either butthons. I put Sanc on X. He wont stop moving but u will get a huge burst.

Also short burst do little damage. Save them for at least 80. Somewhere in 80s u wont apply the stacks and he will stop.

Rift guardian is good for short bursts. Every cold cycle i hit sanc. Or if u want a massive hit time it to when ur close to the max stacks… 80 sumthing

Short bursts with MR and Focus and Restraint was nice, the real reason to use long bursts is to time them for CoE, but I had a problem with that. Short bursts also meant you could roll as much attack speed as you wanted (which helped a lot with the time loss you got from generator use). I went back to Electric Field with this setup because Flurry was too much of a bother, got my GR100 with lightning too. Now it’d be a bit more difficult to play as I relied on the Epiphany teleport for grouping, you can’t do that any more. This was quite a while ago though, two years iirc.

Also I found it was worth rolling attack speed anyway, even with SWK. It’s a very significant damage boost. Couldn’t sustain it with speed pylon with SWK, but had no issues with StI. Should be even easier now with Crimson and since RCR also gives you DR, there’s really good synergy there. AD rolls will be much more difficult to get though. I already have good AD everywhere except gloves and ring with the new set, but with SWK, nor even close.

SwK was hard for me ti keep up Spirit with Crimson. Like i said with some micromanaging ill get it. The less attaxk speed i had the more i was keeping it up.

Crimson was always working for me and like i said i have noticed nothing changes to Crimson. It was always working as intended for me. Then again Crimson is/was actually always weaker for Gen Monk, but easier to play and tankier

The way the teleport got fixed broke the inner fire rune, so for t16 farming you don’t get the massive area damage from the clones punching everything.

I haven’t tried fire and don’t know how it should work, can you explain how it is broken please? Thanks

The epiphany inner fire rune sends fire allies out at enemies and breakable objects as you attack. But it’s not doing it with tempest rush now.

Thanks! Did it do any significant damage? Apart from the set multiplier, there’s pretty much nothing for it, is there?

I’ll take out trash in 2-3 hits on t16 and it has a maybe aoe, speeds up bounties and key runs nicely.

Hmm. Has the patch made it completely worthless or is it still worth playing around with?

It’s worthless now until they fix it. At least with tr, I would imagine it still works with other skills, but I haven’t tested it.
