New Mac executable / Displaying items

(The PTR Feedback forum seems closed for now, I will move the discussion when possible.)

The new Mac executable works well on an iMac (Intel/2018) on Ventura 13.6.9.

The very good news is that there seems to be no more latency when displaying worn items, inventory, chest, which happens to me all the time with classes like DH, WiZ and Necro*
To be confirmed in the live version. But that would be a very, very good news!

* Know the trick to “overcome” this problem, but it is annoying to have to do it every time

I just tried getting into both, the PTR Feedback and PTR Bug Report Forums. They seem to be working now.

Are there any requirements to post in these forums?!

The PTR forums’ last posts are from Jan and Dec. They seems to be locked.

Oh. Sorry.

I got in, but I didn’t try to post. Just now I tried to create a new Topic, but the New Topic button didn’t work.

When I mouse-over the information icon it says “You’re not allowed to create topics in this category”.

Glad the PTR is running well on your Mac, Strix.

I also could not post in the PTR Feedback. So, I’ll say it here. The splash screen when you start says “Season 31”, not 33.

I’m not sure where to look for that and I’m not seeing it.

However, last Season 32, my Demon Hunter’s free Haedrig’s Gift was Natalya’s Vengeance. Season 33’s Demon Hunter Gift should be The Shadow’s Mantle, but the PTR is showing Unhallowed Essence.

2.7.8 PTR seems to be running a mix of season themes. Specifically:

Conquests, Season Journey?, Haedrigs = Season 31
4th cube slot, shadow clone (per season community buff description) = Season 33

There’s a lot of ambiguity in the article when it comes to S33.

The article’s title indicates 2.7.8, not Season 33. And in the article, it’s worded rather informally as “The Shades of Nephalem seasonal theme will also be available to play during the PTR”. Instead of ‘The season 33 theme will also be available to play…’.

Additionally, the link to the Shades theme goes back to season 22’s article, instead of a new season 33 article. As if to only provide info on the theme, not to officially announce it as S33’s theme.

Even more, the cosmetics don’t align with the old season rotation that, so far, has been in unbroken chronological order since the rotation started.

All taken into account, I wonder if the PTR is not meant to be representative of season 33 itself. But instead, just something thrown together to test the Mac exes. Bliz may have just used last season’s basecode but changed theme from Archives to Shades.
