I’m sure there are lots of threads on this, however I’ve been playing D2 resurrected a lot and got to thinking. We’ve had a summon type class, an aura support type, and of course your holy warrior type… However we haven’t seen an unhy warrior type. I suggest maybe we get some type of Death Knight class. I know it’s a little warcraft but why not. Instead of holy auras like the monk and paladin had we can have unholy stuff that increases speed, crit, resistance. We can also double down as a summon type and replace the necromancer. Just some food for thought.
You lost me after reading " I’ve been playing D2 resurrected a lot and got to thinking". Sorry.
And you felt the need to say that because?
first mabe need all classes from D1 D2 D3 before creating fantasy manbearpig hybrid mutant
Pretty sure Lord Soth of Sithicus does not like to be “played.”
Also, if you have a traditional death knight, you don’t need any other class.
“I can kill with a single word. I can hurl a ball of fire into the midst of my enemies. I rule a squadron of skeletal warriors, who can destroy by touch alone. I can raise a wall of ice to protect those I serve. The invisible is discernible to my eyes. Ordinary magic spells crumble in my presence…”
Ogres hovels in WoW have manbearpig rugs.
Back on topic, I agree. I would rather see previous classes return or merged like with the Rogue before something completely off the wall new. I’d also rather there be a good in game reason for said class. Like maybe some Scosglen druids along their travels settled down with som witch doctor tribe and birthed shamanism. And now we have a summoner/shapeshifter class.
Don’t worry, you are not the first to ask for such a class, and I doubt you’ll be the last. That said, we still don’t know what the final class will be (final class to be revealed for the game’s initial launch btw). However it’s likely that it’ll be some type of sword and shield hero. We may have to wait until BlizzConline next year to find out.
Dark Paladins please.
/hugs
dark /falen/anti paladin and black guard and death knight are all the same ( Arthas story from wow is good example) first you must be holy paladin before you can fall via quest u can become fallen usualy it hapends when god takes yor most precious thing to you or you got manipulated and all starts to fall big time
/sigh
Yes thanks for the mansplaining, I’m very aware of what Dark Paladins are, I do not care about DK’s, this is not WoW.
Sorry for the edge but I’ve been fighting off Paladin mansplainers for a long time now and you all have the same bat to swing, I’m just not pitching anymore.
/hugs
If angels and demons can have offspring what about Demons (succubus) and Nephilim?
New class: The Tiefling (based on D&D)
Tieflings are primarily human in ancestry, but draw part of their bloodline from powerful evil beings. Each class in D4 will have a Unique Class Mechanic. These 4 passives can be the Tieflings Unique Class Mechanics .
- Hellish Rebuke: Creatures that damaged you are momentarily surrounded by flames.
- Hellish Resistance: You have resistance to fire damage.
- Darkvision: You can see in dim light within 20 feet of you as if it were bright light.
- Flame Tongue: Any melee weapon you use also does additional fire damage.
These passives will increase in power as you level. If you pick this class these Unique Class Mechanics are automatically unlocked at level 1.
It would be better to suggest something not locked behind an IP (intellectual property) quagmire. The concept of a half-demon is not an issue, but the skillset given most assuredly is… call them cambion (the actual word anyway) and re-describe them.
Of course, there’s the other issue that game mechanics cannot be copyrighted, per se.
Anyway… I’d prefer something on the outskirt, which changes gameplay such as being a merchant, blacksmith, or even a jeweler. This could allow a much wider array of abilities, and encourage tweaking found gear, thus giving more actual choices.
Probably Too much overlap between a Paladin and a Death Knight. I could completely get behind a paladin with shadow combat skills. It would be however a little challenging to differentiate between a necro and a shadow paladin. Maybe necros could use summons, curses, and poisons while the paladin could use dark magic, holy skills, and auras.
But honetly, I think it just makes more sense to roll in dark spells to the necromancer, along with summons and curses.
Bard can fit good use music instrument to buff alies and curse enemys and cast some weak version of wizard spells and weak version of rogue skills (mabe some weak healing spells) can use rogue and wizard items
Dark knight/death knight is definitely one of the most suggested classes out there
Aside from the amazon even with the rogue already announced…monkes…
thats some rainbow fantasy bard not for dark fantasy and bard can go mele and ranged
Just showing that bard using bow as main weapon and use songs as offensive spells and defensive spells.
Basically a ranged caster class.
Politician class:
Words are mightier than the sword ability-they just sit at entrance and talk for dot dps
Gets all the loot in groups, then gets 15% of your gold as a “tax”
All negative effects can be dismissed if you become a donor
