I just got my full 6 piece and I am wondering, assuming I can get ancients for every slot, what level does my LON gem have to be, in order to outweigh the 6 piece set bonuses?

Ah sorry, I have the 6 piece set from completing the Seasonal Chapters - the Wastes set.
Never. (Means the set is always better).
To be more clear, the way you check is to take the maximum bonus of the green (750) and multiple it by your number of ancients. Since you can have 13 ancients max, that comes out to 9750.
Aka, the 10000 on WotW is always stronger for the skills it is setup for assuming the same supporting items are available for both.
That is not always accurate though, so don’t take it as always right since the sets do change how skills work and usually give better defense.

What about the 2 and 4 piece bonuses from the set? Doesn’t that add up to more than 10K?
It does, I was just using the easiest number.
The rend bonus damage from it makes it even harder for a LoN/LoD build to match the WWRend build in damage.

I’ll add my two cents and say that for Barbs, the only Legacy of Dreams (or Legacy of Nightmares) build worth anything is LOD HOTA. There’s a build guide for it in this thread, and if it isn’t stickied, you can find it by going to the stickied Top 7 Builds thread and finding its link.
Otherwise, LOD is not very good for Barbs–it can’t come close to any other set-based build.
