I think a lot of Aussie’s are going for San Fran, just for the Aussie connection to the kicker, and the former Jarryd Hayne connection…or that could just be the only team name they know

Chiefs looking pretty unstoppable. My bet is on them. Their defense is solid.

From what I can tell from their post, they take all the data from GRs, find the median and balance around that, not the absolute top GR pushes, which as mentioned before, are outliers. In statistics you treat outliers as just that, they’re not reflective of the collective of data.
It’s seriously time you and the Nerf squad bury the dead horse already, and have a think about spending your time and energy proactively moving forward.
Blizzard have given the community a direct communication on how they want to achieve balance and where they’re want to direct the game with their patches.
You should consider spending your time and data crawling to instead help to improve other classes, sets, items and builds. This would go along way.
You guys should also drop your witch-hunt on the advocates of the Barb buff. Deny it if you will, but it’s plainly obvious as well.

That is why I plan to look the data this way.
- Use the current leaderboard (not an old one that was used for the blog post)
- Use era US/EU/AS leaderboard data
- Stratify by paragon (and look at median and average clears). I did something similar for the January 3 America region leaderboard.
In terms of time, it takes very little time. To download the data, it is a function of how quickly one can copy/paste 21 websites addresses. Convert to excel file. Excel does all the work. Last time, I did while watching TV one night.
But who are you supporting in the Super Bowl?

I’m no longer expecting a nerf. The metric has changed, and the numbers they posted are unambiguous. I guess we can stop referencing the 141 goalpost, as it doesn’t appear to mean anything.

The table they provided seems a little… convenient. When you actually pull data in large quantities, it doesn’t come out that neat. Anyone who deals with statistics will agree. I mean, 4 classes exactly at 130?

In their table, they wanted to convey that saders are getting nerfed and DH and necros are getting buffed, and they found a metric to push that story. I’m fine with the message, but the delivery under the guise of raw data seems disingenuous.

I’m fully expecting Micro to have a field day trying to reverse engineer the numbers they came up with. I think he will fail, because of my points above.

Bottom line is that we know what they’re aiming for in 2.6.8. I hope they address the intra-class disparity for barbs, because Rend is still king of… basically everything. After AoV nerf it’ll just happen to be the strongest build in the game as well.
I have a feeling I’m going to be down for the count on Monday - poker with my buddies prior then hitting up a sports bar for the game. - then to a pub for whoever is still standing
