Need help with 'Necromancer Pack'

Good evening gentlemen, first of all I apologies if this causes some offense and even more if the topic breaks the forum’s rules (that’s not my intention).
I found no way to solve my issue from Argentina, blizzard is not accepting any debit or credit cards from any bank since last year, there is an unreasonable (reasonable) amount of post about the same topic/issue and the ticket’s answers are useless (chat-gpt levels of nonsense).

In short, I want to trade a battle-net gift (the necromancer pack) for a steam-gift-card (or game). That’s all, I’m very sad about the way blizzard abandoned Latin America since Diablo Immortal became their cash-cow, and I don’t want to fall victim of any scam related to get this pack from a third party (last one I tried wanted my user-name and password, claiming the data sent was “encrypted”, yes this people sell in Mercado Libre, be careful).

The Necromancer-pack is USD$6, so I’ll basically buy you a game around that price or sent you a ARS$2000 Steam-gift-card.
Have a nice day people and I’ll see you around Sanctuary.

You can’t use any of the other payment options? Paypal etc?

Is debit or credit, they removed paypal, payu and any other optional methods for products or Battlenet-balance acquisition. I tried 13 different cards from familiars and friends, is crazy dude.
And yes I have authenticator and asked my bank to authorize purchase and changed browsers (cleaned cookies, etc)… The most funny part is that just a year ago I bought Crash 4 and Diablo Resurrection with the card they are not accepting now XD.

Why would they? Your currency has been in a steady freefall for a while as the government’s problems collapse down there. When a currency is falling 15% a week, any company really dont want to wait “for the check to clear” accepting credit since that ARS$2000 was $6 maybe last week and is today $5.71, and in 2-3 weeks might be $5.50. Bobby needs his $0.50!!!

You can prob find a way to bitcoin it if you look around.

Argentina (and Latin America) is ahead of the curve. The US dollar has been failing for over a century and this failure grew exponentially when Nixon removed the US from the gold standard.

You can try Binance and use cryptocurrency as a method of trade in your country and elsewhere. Bitcoin and crypto is the future.

But I do not think Blizzard accepts crypto because they support anti-sovereignty narratives by their federal leaders.

As it relates to the Necromancer Expansion Pack, I can gift it to you.

According to the blizz game store, the Necro Pack is not 6USD but 14.99USD.

Are we referring to the same item?
Is there another Necro Pack listed in your region?
If these are different packs, will the US pack work in your country?

If it works, I can gift it to you.

According to the blizz gifting site, I need to add you to my friends list and click your ID so I can send it to your ID.

Let me know if this Pack will work in your region.

update:

I sent you a friend invite. You need to accept. I am aeligos-1349.

That’s not how credit cards work. If they charge him 6 USD dollars today, they will receive 6 USD (minus a card fee). The one responsible for the value oscillation is the buyer. So his bank may charge him an additional value next month to account for the oscillation.

  Ok, read the post. He lives in Argentina. All his money is in ARS since its the local currency. When an American company sells a product there, they sell it in the local currency generally. So since the credit they are giving is taking in ARS in a local bank most likely, sitting on it for up to 30days or more before converting it to USD, they are losing money in currency FX. Do some research, the country has been in a financial crisis for a while and no one wants ARS cuz the risk of holding it isnt worth it.

Some governments actually try to restrict the flow of USD, b/c everyone would switch to it as its more stable, I believe they are one of those countries that have tightened controls of the USD. Not every country on the planet citizens walk around with USD, and he looks like one which is why he said:

some US companies use regional pricing as their cost of living is a 10th of ours(guessing). So it could be $6 USD(converted) for him to buy locally in his country.

I think bliz was one of the companies trying to move away from regional pricing as many people caught on, and would buy a $60 game code for $20 in another country and activate it here. I cant remember how this all panned out.

Yeah, it is crazy. Sorry you have to deal with the currency non-sense.

It really depends on the company. MS, for example, charges in USD for a development account for the Xbox, even though they will show at their website the local currency value. I know this because I paid a terrible credit card spread for the conversion.

I know Argentina is in a crisis, but Blizzard could charge him in USD if they wanted to. If they are actually charging in ARS, then I agree with you.

Update:

Shalua,
The Necro Pack just went on sale from 14.99 USD to 9.99 USD.
I am waiting on your acceptance to my friend invite on bnet so I can send your ID the Necro Pack.
I’m heading to work now. I’ll be back in 12 hours. I’ll check bnet after I get back from work.

I accepted you friend request Aeligos, the Necromancer “DLC” is ARS$660 right now, here the capture:
https:// postimg. cc/R35pQS2Z
I know this prices sound “fishing” crazy for some countries, but like Steam, blizz is using “regional prices” and basically gaining no money in return, which is dumb.
E.g USD$15 is ARS$5249.60 over here, but we pay taxes upon that (not blizz fault, this is our government band-aid and pseudo-scam) I would end up paying double that, meaning ARS$10.499,20.
That said they have regional prices at ARS$1000 which is USD$3, hence I offered double that amount to compensate… Anyway enough tangent. I’ll gladly accept your gift but I want to give you something in return, so ask me later about it (don’t ask for nudes, please).

I see you in my friends list now. Cool.

It seems blizzard requires we be friends for at least three days before I can gift you an item. Here is the error code I get when I try to send you a gift:

Article ID: 126051

Here is the page I get on blizzard app.
https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/126051?_gl=1*1lcpk7n*_ga*ODgwMDk5NDAyLjE2OTMzODA4ODI.*_ga_VYKNV7C0S3*MTY5MzM4MDkwOC4xLjEuMTY5MzM4MDk0My4yNS4wLjA.&flow_type=sso&isMASDK=false&flowTrackingId=6862fe3f-ebeb-4b13-8730-126531363023/

So in three days from today, I will send you the Necro Pack. Good things come in three. Three happens to be a powerful number. It was the first number to which the ALL was given; the beginning the present and the future. And in three days you will receive the Necro Pack.

I ask for nothing in return.

I don’t do the picture request thing. It is not part of my programming.

I will update here once I’ve sent you the expansion.
