Minecraft Dungeons sorta got me in the mood to play D3 again lol. Somewhat surprised they never reduced the price of the character class. How much would you guys recommend it?
Zero… don’t pay for it unless you want the other things that come with the expansion.
No. Not for solo. New set is mostly useless as tested, compared with other builds. Necro overall Compared with witch doctor solo, a similar pet/ debuff class, Necro is just a sad waste of money and time.
up to you. Obviously it is hard to justify the purchase at this late into the game but any game purchase is in my opinion. Kinda presumptuous for anyone to say something is a waste of money on a game this old when they are already putting hours into a game where the majority people will say is a “old boring” game.
Necromancer is fun. It is easy to get into and the Legacy of the Nightmare really allows you to try different builds on it.
However, because the class is young compared to the others it is still worked on like in this PTR for example.
You make the final decision. I can guarantee you will have fun but you decide whether it is worth your time and investment.
Id buy it again if i somehow wouldve lost it.
Just a few things to say to this to make your decision easier:
It only has the general 6 set pieces: Helmet, shoulders, chest, pants, boots and gloves. No hybrid play possible in the class sets.
Most of the class is built around corpses and esssence. And the only real way ever was to play with the huge cooldown land of the dead (120 sec cd, 10 sec uptime…) in combination of the devour that basically needs to be numlocked.
Theres however light on the end of the tunnel, since the new set may not need lotd+devour and there were some fun new playstyles added that come out with it too. (Grim scythe for example).
The good thing is, once you master this cooldown class it can really be fun and really cool to look at and play. 
It is a rewarding playstyle as long as low monster density and/or elite density isnt putting an F in the way
If you like D3 and want to play a new class, Necromancer is worth it.
The huge cooldowns on some abilities is an annoyance but, like the other classes, it’s fun to play with.
Honestly, if Necromancer hadn’t come out several seasons ago, I probably wouldn’t still be playing. It has been my go to class every season, and i’ve only missed 1 season i think in the past 7. For me it was definitely worth it, I like the playstyle of several of the builds, the super fast levelling, and the lack of crazy darting around all over the place making you feel sick feeling that you get with some of the other classes.
If you think you will enjoy playing Necromancer, then go for it - the price is only worth it if you are going to have fun.
Its nothing like the D2 version if that helps - I was hoping to play a massive skeleton army and that don’t really happen with the D3 version. Fun but completely different…
The WD is the summoning class now - sadly I wish they could walk that back and let the Necro be his true self again …
Was my favourite class in D2, this one I hate it, don’t buy it.

The game play is unique. You could take down monsters and use their corpses to fuel your attack. Despite the rather sad state necro is against other classes, it is the most fun class to play in D3. If the cost seems high, just wait for 50% discount. It happens from time to time, if you can wait that is.
This is one of the few times i defend blizzard but if it can give you 20 hours at least ( which I believe it will) it is less than 1$ per hour. Not judging the class but the value of the dlc. There are games nowdays where you purchase skins for 3-digit prices.
I want this wizard found. There worth, is the story shard, of an magi. Required to sacrifice themself, in the shroud, and hope they would survive transport to another time, when there knowledge was required. What did they know?
Knowledge of the void magic, from the only war that ever mattered. The prize human souls. A cloak is a creature capable of projecting the astral form of the one who it is bound to. This may have been the only way to pass knowledge of events, through the void of the abyss. This method would preserve skill lines, or spells from another point in your time line.
The unknown forces of magic, are the knowledge we controll. The most powerful forms, took subterfuge to learn the name of the strongest spells. The ability to return human souls from the largest sources of gravitational force known to exist in all creation.

YES!! Necro is the best class in the game!

the necro pack is at it’s lowest now. if you are sick of the 6 classes , then go for it.
