Necromancer Thorns

I would LOVE if you made some of the previous old/unused skills
One build which I like alot is using thorns and pets.
One huge problem with it is that it is way to weak to do relevant gr compared to meta.
It is slow and squishy focusing mainly on single target with no way to make a good all round farm build and is too weak to push close to competative gr without insane gear and paragon, not to mention the way all builds dmg this ptr is rng pylon buffs which feels very booring.
I would love to c

  1. support item/s for pet thorns
  2. Abberant Animator passive skill to also add thorns dmg to pet attack, maybe have a way to choose whether to have it focus single target or aoe round the pet attack (kinda like the crusader thorns set that makes it aoe I would immagine)

If this is to be the last and long lasting season before d4, it would be nice to have unused skills and previously used skills that are fun and unique that has not been the meta for years on end to at least be somewhat relevant
It would be good if we had some skill dmg tweaks for skills that could use lod gem instead of having to use meta sets and selected skills with support items giving passive dmg to the skills.
that would make the insanely booring leveling quicker and make for more playable skills.

There is no chance of that happening unless you’re referring to Season 29. By the time the PTR notes were printed, Blizzard had already decided and implemented that patch. The PTR is just for refining, it’s not for taking new ideas.

I agree it would be for skills to get a good sound balance pass. The skeletons have swords, perhaps they should be allowed to use them.

Anyone still playing Thorns Necromancer (Thornsmancer) is Trag’Oul’s Avatar Set is better or Non Six Piece Set? or any other build you can advice?

Trag’Oul Nova and Masquerade Bone Spear are likely going to be the strongest builds.

But the topic is about Thorns build did you make a Masquerade build with Thorns Damage?

The Thorns multiplier on the crusader invoker set is +67500% from your punish and slash (both primary) attacks. That gives you an idea of the multiplier required from equipped thorns to be meaningful on pet attacks. Anything 3 or 4 digits in a multiplier is a joke.
