Playing Seasonal Necro using Simulacrum with Self Sacrifice (Season 21). When I have Simulacrum active, the gold ring around the ability appears. When I am supposed to die, my simulacrum dies in my place, however, the gold ring stays, making me think it is still active. This makes me only cast 2 mages at a time instead of 4, causing me to not get the most out of my dps and oftentimes die because I think i have the extra fail-safe when I really don’t. If you need any more information let me know.
Edit: I should include that it only happens when you stay alive long enough for the cooldown for simulacrum to reset before dying (causing the simulacrum to die in your place).
Edit 2: it may only be happening while doing bounties. Will try to confirm later this week. It also happened playing a nephalem rift.
Edit 3: I can confirm it also happens in greater rifts
