Hey I was digging up in my old D2 mod and I would like to share some items I made for my mod I actualy made unique version of every item in game inclusing unique charms and all class specific items. I am curious if you like the items. I have many more, if you want to see more, just say so

Really wish there were an editor purely designed to create and/or inject your own custom items into the game that didn’t require coding knowledge. I’ve always had an itch for creating items for Diablo 2 but never had access to a simple method.
Just my creative side itching to do something, I find it almost as fun as playing the game itself. Did a lot of the really roundabout editing in Hero Editor back in the day but you couldn’t give items new names, you had to use the name of an item already in game.
man, I would really love creation tools for diablo, like starcraft and warcraft have. Would be nice.
It is really not that hard. If you want to change or make new uniques, you only need to extract txt files from patch.mpq and add new string into special File so your item does have a name in game.
You just have to add few lines into txt File via Excel for example to create new uniques.
I learned this myself from Modding guides. There is no coding required for soft Modding like this.
Btw i had to add new skins too for some items but thats not that hard either

Yes, but i had some issues by using old extractors under win10. I can maybe write down short guide tomorrow if you want.

All these uniques are from mod I created 10 years ago, uniques are distributed to the game just like original ones in vanila.
I am actualy gratefull you did wrote that as it saves my time I am not native english speaker so anything longer i want to write takes too much time
