Are you referring to the downvoted comments that are not doing exactly what you said? If so, seems like others disagree with them as well.
From an objective standpoint, it seems the majority of players are in agreeance here.

How so? The data is right there and is only a few days old. Currently 174 against, 49 for. You can’t get any more clear than that.
You have a small sample that only reflects those who knew about the thread, decided to open tbe thread, and decided to vote in the poll.
As a result, it only reflects at best reddit users who opened that thread.
Next, the author of the poll defined multiboxing to include automation and key mirroring. Both are against Blizzard rules. Mtuboxing is not.
Do you have better data to refute this data?
Ok so the answer is no. Unless you have better data yourself, trying to cherry pick apart what data we have is a failure.
The author’s thread title is simply “Multiboxing in D4. Should it be allowed?”
Nowhere in the OP does he state anything about automation.
Irrelevant. The poll is based on the comments of the original post.
Are you aware that over 90% of reddit users vote when opening a thread without even reading the comments? Even if you were to take out the 10% buffer of that from the opposition, the scales are still tilted heavily in favor of “disallow”.
I’m sorry friend. Like it or not, the data there is pretty damning.
I also would vote to disallow multiboxing if software was allowed to automate gameplay. Since that automation software is already banned by Blizzard, multiboxing is fine as long as it follows the rules.
That’s your opinion and you’re welcome to it. That’s what most of these forums are full of… opinions. We can agree, we can disagree. We can even agree to disagree. In the end, we’re all friends.
This is a possibility in nearly all online votes. Stuff like that happens on the Blizzard forums all the time.
Do you know how many times I’ve went into the CS forum, saw some shill post something incorrect and get chock full of hearts on his comment… only to investigate the people who hearted it and find out that nearly all of them are the same person and in many cases, the same person who made the comment?
If the OP wanted to use some sock puppets to vote, I’m sure it could account for a few votes. Heck, even Unidan didn’t have 150 alt accounts.
You looks like a media person, very skilled at creating biased comments.
Most of people commented on that post dont even know what multiboxing is, their view of multibox is workshop > bot multiple accounts or mirror input multiple accounts > sell farmed items for profit > evil = rip me off = no = down vote.
This is how most governments controls their citizens through media bias. That post doesnt even define what multibox is nor does it clarify what different multibox does.
Over 90% of people who vote on reddit do so without even reading the comments. Most people who read the OP knew what it was and voted. An outlier or two will ask what it is, if they need clarification. Other comments make it very clear what their opinion is.
As soon as you find out, let us know.
I mean, I get it. Someone provided actual data that goes against your beliefs. You’re looking for any avenue you can possibly find to discredit what they’ve presented. That’s not atypical behavior. It reminds me of Al Gore losing the election and wanting multiple recounts.
If you’re able to provide any objective evidence that discredits his findings, I’ll be happy to discuss!
EDIT: Yikes the gap keeps widening. This will be fun to see tomorrow.
To be fair, that is mandatory for what I would dare say most people mean when they use the term “multiboxing”.
I never said my view was that most would favor multiboxing. In fact, the data makes sense to me.
ForD3, a small percent multibox.
That’s not what I mean. I never stated that you thought most would be for it. I was stating how you’ve made it very clear that you’re in favor of multiboxing because it’s not a violation of the rules. Me personally? I believe that just because you “can” do something does not mean you should nor does it mean it’s a good idea. I mean, a person can legally stand on someone’s sidewalk and take pictures of their kids playing in their yard. That doesn’t really make it “ok”.
Regardless, this is just a user poll. It will likely not reflect what actual changes are made. There have been several polls and even petitions that companies simply just ignore because it does not fit their vision. Multiboxing = more money and companies exist to make money.
Wrong. That is not the reason that I favor multiboxing. My posts on that subject was to correct someone who said over and over again that multiboxing in D3 violates the rules. A Blizzard GM confirmed that multiboxing is allowed in D3 as long as there is no automation/key mirroring.
Is this person not you?
I said it was fine since it does not break the rules. I did not state why I favor having the possibility to multibox in D4.
I didn’t claim that you said
It’s all irrelevant though. Again, even these polls won’t change anything. If the developer(s) are fine with the status quo or choose to bury their heads in the sand, that’s their choice. They own the product.
