Opening your inventory and having it cover your entire screen is just one of many concerns I have with the controller UI. In hardcore for example you literally can’t open your inventory in the middle of combat at all or you will just die because you can’t see/keep moving. Sorceress teleport, Necro amp damage and various other specific target abilities will feel so unbelievably bad without a mouse. At least give us the option.
The PC version lets you turn a controller on and it seamlessly swaps the UI to console layout, so why don’t we have the opposite of that on console with mouse & keyboard? Please seriously consider adding the option because Diablo 2 with a controller really doesn’t feel like Diablo 2.

I agree, not having the ability to use text chat; custom lobbies ect just because I’m on console, idk man. Just puts a sour taste in my mouth. Pc can switch seamlessly, console should be able to as well. I would like to see lobbies I can browse through, and I would also like to use MnK. I don’t have the luxury of having a PC. But I remember what it was like playing d2 back in the day, the controller just doesnt emulate that same experience. It feels lackluster, slower, more tedious to do everything. Picking up items is worse, targeting specific enemies are worse, navigating menus are terrible, the UI is horrible. Just not a fan of the options we’ve been given.

agreed we with all points above if I don’t get mnk option for my console I don’t know if I will be able to play this and I gifted to one of my friends who has never played it I think d2 is one of the best games of all time but in this state I can’t and wouldn’t recommend this game to anyone I would stop people from it. I booked this weekend off to grind the beta and have some old school fun and I’m very dissapointed that I won’t be playing at all cause in my opion it’s like a chore or work to play and that’s not why I play games.

I did a lot of pvp back in the day and I feel like mouse keyboard will be a must especially once people start crafting enigma etc.
