Most hours played by class

Barb - 219
DH - 1169
Necro - 130
Crus - 301
Monk - 207
WD - 138
Wiz - 967

I’m surprised by the Wizard. I thought it was much higher because I played it exclusively for the first few years.

Definitely demon hunter. I started off as demon hunter. It has the greatest number of viable class and can complete nephalem rift under 2 mins (a must to complete season journey).

Crusader 69
Monk 181
Necromancer 2518

I played DH on PC for over 14.000 hours, on Switch I’m not sure.

Barbarian 908h
Demon Hunter 1838h
Crusader 1232h
Monk 1658h
Necromancer 1044h
Witch Doctor 2070h
Wizard 1071h

Total 9821h

I actually expected even more. This is only on EU, did play a bit on Americas, just for stash tab unlocking.

Barbarian 7150h
Demon Hunter 1989h
Wizard 2069h
Necromancer 1866h
Monk 969h
Crusader 182h
Witch Doctor 106h

Not sure how many of these hours are SC and HC. Most are in SC.

4672 hours on my DH.

That’s awesome. I’m a pretty big man, actually. Oh okay you are retired, that makes sense. It’s nothing to me, I was just curious. If you botted, it would depend on how you botted; I know essentially nothing about botting so I couldn’t say. I’m not intellectually challenged; that wasn’t very nice. I forgive you

Btw, that is absolutely insane. 4 hours a day is half a full time job. Every day makes it 2 days more than half a full time job. 10 years of working the same half a full time job + 2 days, is again insane. To cap it off by saying it wouldn’t be hard to do, is the ultimate insanity. Bravo!

Also btw, playing for 24 hours each day, for 1 year straight (365 days), is equal to 8760 hours. I only know this because that amount of time makes sense for a game like WoW, where I was a casual and still had 10k+ hours in it. But for D3, that’s pretty crazy

The post has been greyed out, so I wanted the replies to make sense if it went away.
It is not uncommon for someone to work a full-time job and then spend hours every day at another activity.
I did it for over 20 years while working and then playing in my band(s).
Some of us are retired and have grown children.

It came across as a thinly veiled accusation of botting. Hence the replies and flags.

They didn’t bot; they said they’re retired. That’s how they have so many hours

Do you really not know how offensive the post was?

This male/female routine sounds strangely familiar.

Barbarian- 76h 30’
Crusader- 618h 42’
Demon Hunter- 1018h 17’
Monk- 1359h 48’
Necromancer- 48h 30’
Witch Doctor- 1467h 16’
Wizard- 83h 16’

A total sum of 4672 hours and 30 minutes, still pretty casual compared to most people here.
I gave a very long break and haven’t get in until a year into RoS, I think. I have attended Season 3, 5 and 8 then I don’t think I have attended any Seasonal in between that and season 24th where I am going ten seasons strong now.

I’ve done every season except one, don’t remember which. For me the best part of D3 is the leveling process and getting my toon geared with high end equipment. After that, it gets boring. I don’t enjoy pushing GRs anymore. I used to, but now I’m more casual and push enough to get my gems to a decent level and quit.

How common something is would probably only be known by real data. I’ve seen someone say something was rare but it wasn’t. At this point, we can only guess or use our own bias.

There are people who a fine mix of gaming or other activities in a normal life. There are however, some who overdo it and either are or pretend to be oblivious. I knew a guy in a previous game who was very open about his life. He lived off of disability, stayed home all day playing video games and doing recreational substances. Which is why I always rolled my eyes whenever he would post, condescending someone else about why they’ve not hit some milestone that he did “weeks ago”.

It’s odd to me that someone who deliberately tries to offend people would lecture you about something being offensive. Someone refers to someone in a very nasty way in one thread then makes a big deal about something “thinly veiled”. :man_facepalming:

I feel the same. That’s why I try to take breaks, especially when it’s one of those zZz seasons. The game still makes a great filler game when I’m waiting on something else.

A quick note from me: in-game time starts as soon as you enter the game (= “town”), not when you’re in adventure mode (bounties/visions), rift, or GR.

For example, I’ve left the game active many times; while I was in town, while I was making myself a coffee, before checking an email from an important client and starting on a project.
I thought it would take less than 20 minutes, but it turned out not to be.

The same thing happens when you inform a player, and then you start looking at their build and chatting with them.

Or just a fun discussion in the general chat.

The hours can quickly add up.
