So a few seasons back I was pushing Tal Rasha Comet and you all gave me some great advice and help. I was able to clear 150 without much issue.
I’m back, but this time I wanted to change it up a little so I’ve built a Star Pact Wiz (Stimpy) and I’m hoping to get some tips for fine tuning. I can clear 145 without too much issue, and with a good rift in about 9-10 min. But higher is hitting a wall.
I have two builds, one that uses Guardian’s and one that uses Squirt’s/Witching Hour (both with Aughild’s) When I swap between them, they seem to not be much different in terms of GR time. The only real difference is the big loss of HP.
Is it just a matter of paragon? Or any other tips to nudge me forward?

I’d say it’s possible, but not even nearly as easy as at S28 to get 150 with your setup. You just need quite good map / lots of mobs at one time and so on.
I found it easier to do with the 2h weapon and comet, but it depends on the person / playstyle.
For Star Pact AS is really not needed - unless you magically fill up your Arcane Power (or you use Primary attacks in between)?
I hope you put points in AP in Paragons. Have ApoC wherever possible.
If you wanna maximize your damage output with Star Pact try to use Meteor when you have almost full AP.
If you go the Primary attack route, you can use Shame of Delsere belt to fill your bar up faster.

I know that this isn’t your question, but LoD is tremendously more tanky. I decided to go for crown of primus and slow time instead of frost nova. Even though I lose chc (thus some AP) slow time is amazing.
That should only be on my Tal chest (since it comes with it). If I have another good chest drop, I’ll roll it off to see what I can get.

Usually on pulls, it fills up almost immediately. But if some elites are left over and/or on the RG, I’m down to give a primary attack and Delsere a try.
I didn’t clear 150 until I had around 2,200 paragons as I wasn’t grunty enough. For me I got rid of Guardians set in favour of Crimsons which provided that extra bit of oomph.
Still used aughilds as well and COE (not Squirts & Witching hour).
I spamed the crap out of Meteors, didn’t worry about filling up max AP unless it was a single boss fight and wanted the extra punch from a full AP resource.
Keep farming up better kit as you go. I got most of my primals and good gear from Kadala and reforging items.
Also, not sure if you crafted your Karini or not, but I would recommend using your ashes to craft your weapon since your damage comes primarily from your weapon stats. Then just wear what ever best Karini you have from your stash.

I have no idea how you people are clearing 150 with your “2K” paragon… Tel Rasha has been nerfed to the ground. I have almost 4k paragon and full primal and I still can’t even clear 130. So you’re all liers…
I had bad amulet and rings (like around 20% less damage compared to optimal ones). Even played Cold Meteors that have less damage than Arcane ones…
Didn’t even need some extra fishing. 2,6K paragon though, ufff!
If we are talking non-season, that is a different story.

Mostly coz you don’t have CC immunity on Tal Rasha.
I would say GR130-135 is a fine range for Rasha cold meteor on NS with 4K paragon.
After GR135 it is almost like extreme fishing - right mobs, right pylons, right map layout…
This was my only Tal Rasha NS GR150 clear, right after S28 ended (and Tal Rasha set still had double it’s bonus compared to today):
I’m around 7K paragon NS now, most likely could do relatively easy GR140’s with Cold Meteor.
Also, the higher you push the more important it is to group mobs and make use of Area Damage.

It’s basically the season theme doing the high clears with low paragon and unoptimised gear. You need high density, and survival ability, and a huge group of monsters, trash and elites, and then the meteors at kill streak 400 to get enough progress to spawn the rift guardian and the angels at streak 500. And also luck and some strategic playing with the rift guardian so that the angels don’t get evaporated.
Haven’t done it myself. MadTom is doing a great job.
