Question for the maths people:
For the Tal Rasha meteor, under the push build, it says that at lower paragon swap in Guardian’s for Aughild’s.
What is lower paragon this time around? In other words, when does swapping Aughild’s back in overtake Guardian’s?
Why do you need to swap? Most builds are using both at the same time by not using Squirts. Nonetheless, I am also curious about the math for the most optimal build also same question about dropping Guardian’s for GoD.
As a general rule you can try at about 1,5k (which may be too low), 2k seems optimal, at 2,5k+ definitely swap Guardians for Aughilds. keep in mind that you will have to kite a lot and learn how to keep the distance.
Maxroll’s push build (aughilds + squirts + mang’s song (2h)) is the most dmg-oriented build. Not really the easiest to play since you need to keep Squirts stacks thus maintain shields but if you do everything corectly then dmg is the highest
Mang’s Song also has unique +50% against undead affix. If you fish 100 keys for a perfect rift then definitely it is the way to go.
In the etheral season you can opt to play a more relaxed and easier version by equipping 1h etheral (with Grand Vizier’s power) and Tal-Rasha’s orb. You also need to drop Squirts for Tal’s amulet.
This way you can have both Aughilds and Guardians. You are way more tanky, more HP = better shields and you can kite less facetank more.
Damage-wise this setup is weaker and especially falls behind with paragons (Guardians are worse the more INT you have).
Regarding GoD, I believe that GoD have another route that wizzard won’t have. At your paragon, in push, you can swap guardians for Wraps of Clarity and Hunter’s Wrath, Depth Diggers in the cube and RoRG for CoE.
I suppose that would give you the highest damage.
Tal Rasha Meteor, I usually went for Aughild’s over Guardian’s at like P1500 already. For other classes the breakpoint for me is usually around P2500.
This is assuming like “main” slots all ancient and auged with at least 125 gems. So like 10 (13 - rings/amulet).
However, this season it is kinda OK to go Aughild + Guardians on Tal Rasha, due to the 1-hander option.
In this season, for this particular build ( Tal + offhand ) it’s rather about to swap Guardian for Crimson at higher paragon.
What do you think that “higher paragon” level would be? 3k?
3k+ seems realistic. Maybe earlier - many players still play Mang Song build, it’s more squishy than Aughild + Crimson.
I’m using the Wizard Spike and crafted some Crimsons to try out yesterday. At 2k paragon I have no problem staying alive, so looks like my guardians will be collecting dust now.
