I got the alter bonus where you get a random shrine effect when you drink a health potion. It works, but it seems that the maximum number of buffs is 3. I have fleeting, blessed and frenzied. I also have gloves of worship. But every time I drink another potion, it just refreshes fleeting. I’ve done it over 10 times. So is the max number of shrine buffs three?
Yup. They removed Empower Shrine because it was too much fun.
From S30 notes:
- Empowered shrine has been removed from the random Shrine effect of the Father Seal from Altar of Rites.
Yes, you can’t get Empowered from the potion buff but if you do find one in a Neph rift or in the overworld it will stack with the rest of them. So it’s possible to XP, Fleeting, Blessed, Frenzied, and Empowered all at once which is pretty crazy with the gloves on your follower.
There is a 4th that doesn’t tally in the single buff icon (it is its own separate icon).
Let me see if I can screen cap it.
EDIT: Got it. It’s the “Enlightened” buff that is separate.
(What Alex said below.)
Yup. I was answering as far as the potion shrines available, and I forgot about the XP shrine, so should be 4 from the potion then.
Yeah, a little more testing and I saw that one too. Thanks.
Just to make sure kayakpat doesn’t sail in the wrong direction, so to speak, these buffs from shrines, potions and pylons can be carried on from nephalem rifts, visions and echoing nightmares until they expire, but starting a greater rift will reset things (also if you for some reason teleport or move to town from a greater rift it will reset things).
Except Speed Pylons.
I guess they don’t want me finding a power shrine, back to town, start a GR, back and touch the power shrine and then back to the GR with 10 min of power.
Spoil sports…
Knockback effect will reset when TP to town and back to GR but increased speed effect remains.
