My uncapped FPS is in the 200s. I’d like to use max foreground fps 144 to match my monitor and keep my GPU nice and cool. But as soon as I check the “max foreground gps” option, at any value from 60-200, what I get is a choppy 60 fps.
Nvidia 3080, gsync monitor @ 144, 2560x1440x143, g-sync on, vertical sync off, fullscreen
I don’t remember it doing this before - could it be related to a recent windows or driver update? Anything I can try?
Thanks, v-sync is normally off for me, I tried it with it on too just for kicks and it basically made no difference.
This is yet another Windows Bug Blizzard is already aware of. On older Windows Builds the ingame FPS cap works correctly. Nothing you do on your end will fix it. If you want to cap your FPS i would recommend doing it either in your GPU’s driver or using a 3rd Party tool like Riva Tuner Statistics Server.
