Make Pools of Reflection Spawn More in Single Player Games

As title, this one QOL would massively make solo grinding less of a chore.

I’ve restarted 25 games and explored 3 prime locations for wells to spawn quite frequently in Act I (Leoric’s Manor Courtyard, Cemetery of the Forsaken, and the spawn area of Southern Highlands) and to my dismay, ZERO pools spawn.

This is beyond frustrating when my main is a DH and Bovine Bardiche isn’t something that drops often.

For the love of God, make it so. And since area the game only spawns the maps when players explore that specific location, this would not give group play anymore of an advantage than they already do.

In Act 5 after “breeching the gate” quest, your enchantress gives you acces to her personal quest that takes you into spirit realm. There spawns up to 5 pools of reflection. ( sometimes You find nothing, but most of the time there are 2-3) Don’t finish this quest for infinite repeats (after reload)

I’m talking about Adventure Mode and yes, I’ve already done that quest.

I’m not going to reset my Campaign Mode and go through the entire Acts again to reach that point for the sake of getting that Pools of Reflection (which of course is just about as much time needed to get 1 pool resetting games in Adventure Mode).

On another note, it took me another 25 more games and I manage to get ONE miserable pool.

I would rather have 25% xp when I empower a rift and have the xp pools be gone from the game.

This is actually a really good alternative, though it may require more work on the developer’s side than a simple number tweak and a few lines of codes to have more of the pools appearing in Single Player games.

You are very bad at looking for pools if you had to make 25 games to find a single one. When I play solo, I usually find 5 to 8 per game, in 5 minutes.

I have no idea why are you complaining. Open the secret not-the-cow level and stack reflection whenever you want. Cube creating a few bardiches takes 10-20 mins tops via upgrade rare recipe.

Of course I see replies within actually people reading the full context of my suggestion.

Oh well.

That is more of a last resort unfortunately.

Act One - Festering Woods - either Crypt of the Ancients or Warrior’s Rest, or both
Act Two - Howling Plateau - I’ve picked up more than one and, on the rare occasion, two in the same screen frame. Road to Alcarnus - same comments, often more than one
Act 3 - Bridge of Korsik - Walk back from the portal
If you’re not running across any in 25 games, you’re not playing Diablo 3.

No offense meant bro but farming for pools when you only have 1700para is not worth it.
your better off using the time to run more grifts.
raxanterax made a great yt on how and when to use pools of reflection.

and this is actually a great tip you can craft cow sticks for an average of 75 dbs when using a crusader to upgrade rare polearms in the cube (the crus only has 3 polearms)

edit apart from the above the best thing for stacking pools is to just grab them when you are running normal rifts for keys

Easier fix: Put a pool in each town hub that is empty if a GR is open so you can’t just quick refill if you die mid-run.

so basically just give everyone a permanent 25% xp boost?

You could have run GRs in that time and made more XP. Unless you are very high paragon.

Make a lvl 1 crusader and upgrade rare polearms.

Yes and no.

Pool hunting is reminascent of the old nephalem valor stack farming of old that got the axe. My ultimate question would be, “What does teleporting to random zones to check for pools within a screen or two of the WP really add?” when you stop to consider these aren’t going to commonly be monster dense locations, nor killing a priority.

In general, the idea of the pool was to reward skillful play by not having the boost remain if you die. Since GRs are the primary source of EXP these days, and these pools do not spawn in them, I’d argue it introduces a worthless tedium hunting them down when you exhaust the bar or die. Removing the pool’s access when a GR is active would otherwise incentivize that original intent of playing well, or not hunting out of your league. Additionally, replenishing a supply under current circumstances could simply be cheesed by dropping difficulty since the bar persists between games.

Pragmatically, we could just remove the pools altogether, boost open world/normal rift exp by 25%, and put an additional EXP buff on GRs until you die since we know they track that for the +1 gem upgrade. Though, I find myself more inclined to make the pools themselves special when found in the moment, like bestowing all shrine effects.

I think they need to get rid of all pools in general and replace them with XP pools. This game has progressed so much from the old days that we usually dont even bother clicking on pools anymore.
