Please make it the part of core game. I know that sanctified items can be overpowered. But crucibles can be change to make the items just primal without an angelic power, and OFC be slightly rare drop after season ends.
I started to miss these posts.
If enough people really like them, I can see them being a permanent thing.

That is irrelevant if doing so is detrimental to the game as a whole. As a temporary feature, as a theme, things like these are fine but making them permanent would devalue many other things in the game. It would devalue the loot hunt, the reforging, etc.
It took 3 days! Good grief. 3 freaking days.
Truth be told, 3 days is probably the longest it took for someone to ask for a seasonal theme to be made permanent.
As for the topic itself, it’s not impossible for the feature to be made permanent, as we had a few that did so. However, I wouldn’t count on it being made permanent just because of it being popular as we’ve had popular seasonal themes remain temporary.
Didn’t we get only 2 permanent so far, with one being announced as permanent even before the season started?
Indeed. In cases of S24 and S25 themes people were pleading in droves to make them permanent. It didn’t happen. On the other hand S26 theme was made permanent but that certainly wasn’t due to popular demand.
Now, S23 theme wasn’t even a theme as it was the follower rework and available in non-season as soon as the patch went live. The free LoN (S17 if I remember correctly) didn’t become permanent as it was, LoD is still different from it.

I know some would argue and say that either the followers and LoD gem doesn’t count, and I can somewhat agree regarding the followers, however LoD was supposedly added due to players enjoyment pertaining to the LoN season. So while not a direct implementation, it was still added in response to the LoN season.
Now as for how many seasonal themes that directly made their way into non-season and permanently upon the season’s end, then we’d only have one afaik, and that is the Echoing Nightmare from last season.
So, now, we have:
- The fourth cube slot
- The free RoRG
- The free LoN
- Ethereals
- Soul shards
- Angelic crucibles
In a way we did get the 4th cube slot. Sort of. It’s the emanating powers.
Back when the 4th slot was the theme and people pleaded to keep it, I argued that the only reasonable way to keep is to restrict it to utility powers only. The follower rework achieved that but instead of just 1 utility power we get multiple.
Don’t forget the 3 unrestricted kanai’s cube slots, where each of the cube slots were no longer restricted to item type (weapon, armor, and jewelry).
But yeah, I think the most popular themes were the 4th cube slot, Ethereals, and Soul Shards. Out of all of them, I’d probably would only want the soul shards, and that’s only because of the remnant of pain soul shard.
Of course, my favorite seasonal theme will always be the pandemonium season theme, since we actually had a new enemy to face, Uber Diablo.

Thing is that some of these themes brought alot of fun into the game, so it is understandable if people are eager to get them as permanent features.
What is easily forgotten is the power increase these themes offer aswell.
The time for some restraint has come, well it well overdue tbh.
If bits and pieces could be implemented without any power increase then sure I would welcome new features.
I understand other popular seasonal theme NOT making to final game.
But the different is, Angelic unlike say Ethereals & soul shards or extra cube slot, influence how you pla the game, & build defining, in a fun way!

Not really. You can only have 1 equipped at a time. If you could do it to all your gear then yes, it would devalue.
Absolutly not. I get why its appealing i rather have 4 cube slots or something what enables more builds.
Also it is way to over powered The season is 3 days old now and People are already running 146 solo. We are way to strong in general. the game isnt anymore about getting the best gear and playing the best instead its about Paragon.
I miss the times where the top players had 1-2k paragon it was way more about skill.
Ah yeah, I always forget about LoD.
That would make them completely pointless imo.
The new powers are the good part.
Now, are some of the too strong? Sure. But hey, remove a few zeroes from set item and legendary modifiers. Those are absurdly much stronger than those sanctify effects.
To make it permanent, they could remove the Primal effect. Heck, how about making it so the item can only be a normal legendary - so it comes with a bit of a cost? (might need to work for LoD though).
They would however need to significantly rebalance the powers, and add more of them, otherwise you are just drastically skewing the builds of a class in a specific direction, which would hurt the game way more than it helps (like, turning DH into spin to win machine is obviously not good, nor is doing the same for Barb any good)
Yeah, stuff like this could easily have been a new system they could just build upon each content patch.
