Majority of Players

Sounds like elitism to me.

I mean I maintain a bit of interest as the last few seasons and new sets have been neat, but I’m not obsessive about it at all - too many games out now and more on the way.

And as far as A-RPGs go, Wolcen looks neat but I’m honestly most interested in Warlords of New York, which is looking absolutely baller (it’s about time Division 2 got some proper love).

Still looking forward to D4 and especially the new netflix series, but D3’s just a very casual thing to me now and nothing’s gonna change that. The devs themselves have essentially admitted that it’s something of a lost cause/run its course at this point, and they’re just doing what they can to try and maintain some interest until D4 is ready.

I can’t speak for everyone, but I’m not expecting great things out of D3 at this point nor am I particularly upset either.

i reside in other games because diablo 3 is too easy.
it would seem that blizzard, an european based company, had to create a game that is toddler easy specificly made for lazy gen z gen y and toddler gamers from the usa.
sad part is that the entire video game industry has to stupidify its entire market to a 3 stats combat system in order to appeal the lameness of the average usa player.

What main portion of blizzard is European based?

Vivendi merger with Activision and continued growth (2008-current)

Up through 2006, Bobby Kotick the CEO of Activision, had been working to rebound the company from near-bankruptcy, and had established a number of new studios. However, Activision lacked anything in the MMO market. Kotick saw that World of Warcraft was bringing in over US$1.1 billion a year in subscription fees, and began approaching Vivendi’s CEO Jean-Bernard LĂ©vy about potential acquisition of their struggling Vivendi Games division, which included Blizzard Entertainment. LĂ©vy was open to a merger, but would only allow it if he controlled the majority of the combined company, knowing the value of World of Warcraft to Kotick. Among those Kotick spoke to for advice included Blizzard’s Morhaime, who told Kotick that they had begun establishing lucrative in-roads into the Chinese market. Kotick accepted LĂ©vy’s deal, with the deal approved by shareholders in December 2007. By July 2008, the merger was complete, with Vivendi Games effectively dissolved except for Blizzard, and the new company was named Activision Blizzard.

There’s differently some history with Blizzards origins to now. Interesting read. Knew there also had to be some facts I didn’t remember also from your comment. I learned something also today.

i aint the sharpest knife. i presumed it was euro due to the high amount of euro based players during the old days.

You’re wrong. You can’t be anymore wrong. The tiny fraction of what you call “elite” shouldn’t own the game as you say. They shouldn’t dictate development. The largest portion of the player base should be catered to. I think you’re being purposefully contradictory. That’s the only thing I can think of for the line of your reasoning. If we go by your logic, then botters should be catered to. They have the most Paragon.

Devs should really be in pusuit of a cohesive vision above all, and appeal to the base they want as a collective using that. Adjusting for who the main base is (not necessarily, but possibly including the top %) is secondary in my mind
but that doesn’t exclude it entirely.

In all, consider players for what they offer in the scope of the vision. It might sound obvious (or not), but there’s a nuance to that I’m not sure has taken place for a while now.

I really don’t know what to say to such a snobbish and elitist comment. Well, I do, but I don’t want the ban hammer coming down.
