So it looks like something is going on…like installing the final patch and set up for Season 21 hopefully. It would be nice to see a faster transition between seasons.

Its happening on all of their games. Likely just usual maintenance, though, still could be a patch for a D3.
I dont think the maintenance IS the patch/update, seems like 2 different things but its possible they both could happen on the same day.
Same. It used to be much closer from season end to season start. They just recently changed it to this “at least one week/12 days” thing. Should be possible to make the gap smaller again…
I noticed it too.
We will see how current events will affect the time in-between seasons. There are arguments for both.
- More downtime due to lower staffing or slower processes.
- Less downtime to respond to the increase in player numbers & higher demand.
As far as pezradar stated, the patch is already done it seem. He said that there isnt much changed in the notes, suggesting that they are finished, just not released yet.
All they had left to do was bringing them onto console aswell.
Could be that the patch is and that we get the notes tomorrow.
Fingers crossed for the needed necro buffs 
otherwise there will be alot of DHs this season
Years ago Blizzard changed the file system so that patches no longer require down time to implement.
The Maint is for Bnet as a whole, and will impact every Blizzard game. If you look at the Maint announcement for this week you will notice it says Blizzard Systems - so the general login functions.

Don’t get your hopes up. Post like this gets everyone hyped but there won’t be any patches tomorrow

Interestingly enough, we DO get the patch tomorrow. It is not related to the Maintenance though.
There is a news article and forum post up about both that and Season 21. Season 21 - Trials of Tempests is NOW LIVE! - Diablo III
We are expecting Patch 2.6.9 to be released on June 23.

Nice, Strange how that played out. But im glad finally we can goto 2.6.9
I honestly thought next week was more likely, but this is good. It gives some time to fix anything that goes sideways before Season start.

I like the fact that we get a opportunity outside the PTR to test how the new changes work out playing non-season tomorrow with SC or HC builds before the s21 start on 7/3.
