Forums devs for d3 seems to have gone poof. I advise start using twitter @BlizzardCS to try and get some help. really disappointed that all we have got in 3 days is a bot saying to do a trace with no response after
public game for me have gotten worse. it is now ~80% of the games I join are 4K+ latency and take 30 secs to enter and leave. something is borked on Blizzās end.
The lag is so bad. Please fix it.

It is not my pc which is high end hardware. All these players cannot be wrong, bliz fix this for the few loyal players left.

Itās every single night now. 5 min just to join a public, which will lag so bad, everyone will leave. Hit leave, and it takes another 2 minutes just to get out. Repeat
maybe scheduling a quick maintenance on the servers and rebooting them may help? Solo is somewhat okay (latency ~400ms) but public games, especially bounties - unplayable -
any info on that would be appreciated by the mods / CS.

Iām experiencing serious lag in both public and solo games. My WinMRT shows the problem (for me) is with this hop: ae1-br02-eqch2. as57976. net (137. 221. 69.35)
The lag on this hop is bouncing all over the place from 300ms up to 4800ms.
i cannot join a pub game ping goes to 5k and game becomes unresponsive , also low fps probably because of all this
Any update from Blizzard on this yet? Iām unable to join games in the evenings (east coast). When I do, the lag is so high itās unable playable. I did try the mentioned work around of creating a private game and opening it up to public and that seemed to work. I ran a trace route to the IP specified here: Running WinMTR - Blizzard Support
I got the same results today that I got yesterday, and the connection drops are happening after reaching Blizzardās servers.

Addresses in the 192.168.x.x and 10.x.x.x ranges are local, non-routed addresses, and presumable DESKTOP-6G60BKQ is your PCās name. This means for the first seven hops the network trafficās being bounced around between multiple internal addresses, and also has a 1% packet loss that continues throughout the trace. Reset all your network equipment, and your PC, and re-run the WinMTR traces. If youāve still got traffic bouncing around internally, and packet loss inside the local network, speak to your ISP and show them the traces.

Im in Brunswick, GA and played this morning just fine, but just tried to play and its click and wait and wait. Kinda like windows 3.0 was.
I have experienced major lag, along with several people I have ran rifts with in the guild I belong to. Agree it started with the season. I am on a 1Gb network. It is definitely season related.
Experiencing the same thing. Thereās no latency issue if I join other types of public games, Rift & GR for example no lag, but anytime I join a public bounty game massive latency making it unplayable. Definitely not a client side problem.

Thank you all for the continued reports. We are investigating the underlying cause of this issue and we will post updates in this thread as we receive them.
I did not get a chance to post about this yesterday. 8 or 9 bounty game attempts resulted in being stuck at the progress screen with the red diamonds. I ended up doing Alt-F4 to close the game and relaunch. This was at multiple points between 11am and 4:30pm EST (NYC/US). Another 6 attempts during that time succeeded, but 2 of those attempts ended with me in town with over 4000ms red lag and my character wasnāt rendered. Now today 12/19/2021 at 3:18am EST (NYC/US), I tried to enter a pub. bounty game and I encountered a long loading screen with the red diamonds (about 3 mins), entered in game eventually, in town with 0ms, no character rendered, canāt move, and a stream of entries and exits by other players. After 2 mins of this I leave the game normally.
My internet has been rock solid. I checked in with people working who are on call with my employerās clients and their VPN connections are solid as well. Speed testing is showing normal results. Iāll try again in a couple of hours.
Edit: Also the Blizz launcher is not loading the usual main page of content. Instead there is an icon of a gnome with a spanner, a message saying something went wrong, and a reload button. It has been like this since Friday I believe.
