Hello peeps. Just finished D3 main game. I dont own any DLC yet. I have played PoE a lot though and i expected to find some end game when i came back to the main menu after defeating Diablo. All i see is start over (NG+ i guess) but nothing else. Do i need to buy DLC to get anything else other than just playing the campaign over and over? Felt a bit spoiled by free PoE with tons of content far beyond the main campaign, lol.

Precisely. The end game mode you seek is called Adventure Mode which requires the RoS expansion. Greatest challenge in the game is available there in the form of ever scaling dungeons called Greater Rifts. Similar to maps in PoE.
It changes the game up significantly.

I am not sure if you can do this or not, because is sounds like you do not even have the full game. It will show everything that has been added since RoS including all of the free stuff. When most of us are in the game we can click on the menu to the left. D3 received a lot of fee stuff that some seem to forget, or do not know about because they are still in the basic game.
Hmm. Will have to check that. But i did buy the game so i do hope its a full game, lol. Thanks.

I try to include an image via hyperlink option to IMGUR of a screenshot of my menu but this forum wont allow me to use itā¦ I have no options other than āResume Gameā and āGame Settingsā. Im lvl 52 if that matters. Maybe i need to be higher level to open other stuff?
It sounds like you have the Standard Edition, which was the full game 7 years ago. We have moved way past that. Now the full game in 2019 is the Eternal Collection (with all the new stuff). Each game has a description in the shop. The Diablo III: Eternal Collection includes Diablo III, the Reaper of Souls expansion pack, and the Rise of the Necromancer pack, bringing together all elements for the definitive Diablo III experience. This also includes all of the free stuff that was added.
Oh, you mean running the same maps over and over. Yup - endless ācontentā. Same as GRs.
Oh cmon now, lol. Its got more than a campaign and its free plus updated new themes every 4 months. Thats pretty sweet.
Anyway. Bought the DLC. Doing Act 5 now and i can see more options now compared to before.
gl! finnish the ros campain and start doing rigts/greater rifts to gear up and climb higher difficultis, and if ur not a solo player, join public games or find new friends ti group with, and season 18 starting in 3 weeks so you will be ready to jump into that aswell, and for the best expierenc to enjoy i fully rekommend playing hardcore mode.
From one thing to another, but do you guys know anything about high ping being normal in D3? I have a good PC (i7-8700K, RTX2070 etc) and good internet 250Mbit/s and i have never had lag in games bar jumping on a server that has bad lag due to being in another continent, but in D3 as i started playing i noticed my hits didnt hit the enemies right away but after like 1-2 seconds. Thought it was lag and then today i found the ping value down on the hotbar thingy and i can see it goes from 30-400. Normally in other games i have 30-50 ping with no lag but D3 jumps this big even though i set it to Europe (im in Sweden). Any ideas if this is fixable through the game/config files etc?
Thatās why a few people play in hardcore, diablo 3 servers are like potatoes, and the Game design with Area Damage for example, make the Game even laggy. For example there is some builds that you canāt play in Party, cuz of the lag they make It.
At the end PoE is based on Diablo, so, they are pretty similar, but Diablo could be run in medium PC, in PoE even with hyper future PC never go pretty well and Also have disconnects.

FPS/performance is no problem (so far) but internet lag - too high ping - is the real problem. Never happens in PoE for me (or any other game) but in D3 i see the ping goes up to 300-400 all the time. From 30 to 300-400 back and forth making feel sloppy.
Is hardcore mode outside of servers? Like proper single player mode without server connection while playing?
No, Blizzard donāt want to make an āoffline Gameā, probably to prevent all hacks that come out in Diablo 2. But IMO they should do that, but luck for us ;(

Not sure what you mean by tons of free content. Ya,there are maps but after you run one once it is the same thing over and over. Been messing around with it for a bit now and as far as I can tell it is basically a item trading simulator and running glacer map over and over until your eyes bleed looking for that one godly item which would be the Head hunter ā¦ The only up side would be for those people that want a SSF game which it offers but even then with out ungodly luck drops of decent items are few and far between ,And do not get me started on the god awful RNG when it comes to rolling socās ,links and colors for your chest armor and 2H weaponsā¦
POE has to have one of the worst art styles for a game played in 2019 . Its looks like is was coded in the 90s. Also its ridiculously pay to win if you just use 3rd party sites. D3 endgame might be repetitive but POE is by far worse and not superioer in any way.
Finally getting gear GG socket. Never seen worse RNG in my life
My two cents, dont get the expansion. Its just the same as running the same base game over and over again. GO over to POE. At least its free.
If the expansion is just the same as running the base game over and over again how did you get primal items? you have to run a GR 70 within the time limit for them to drop and the pylon isnāt available in campaign mode
same for the legendary gems, you need to run GR to get them and is not available in campaign mode
How did you reroll stats on your equipment, Kanaiās cube canāt be picked up in Campain mode
