Dont understand why Blizzard nerf LOD builds to the ground so they cant compete with 6p sets f.e. at the end.
At S20 we talk about Hydra build, where the LOD version has been nerfed to the ground.
In my oppinion 6p sets should be good for early - mid game (to farm all the LOD pieces)…but for endgame LOD builds should be the best.
I means whats the effort of finding a 6p set…2-3 hours?
Compared to a LOD set where u spend 2-3 weeks to find all the pieces (with avarage rolls).
So rly dont get it why Blizzard is nerfing this kind of builds and try to push us to the sets…this makes no sense. -.-
For S21 I would wish that Blizzard buff LOD builds (or nerf sets) for all classes, so sets aren’t the best to climb leaderboards.

I disagree.
6-piece sets and LoD builds should both be equal at endgame. There is no justification for either being stronger. In the end you farm the same amount of gear for each build.
Yeah, LoD should be the end-game and the set items the stepping stone. That would be a better design for D3.
Of course, a complete redesign would be best. But a bit too late for that.

I disagree.
I believe LoD builds should be considered a “set” for skills that doesnt have their own multipliers from a set yet. There is already a set specifically made for Hydra, it just doesnt make sense to me that an LoD hydra is stonger.
I think your argument here is that its just too easy to gear, and i would agree with that. They should instead lower the drop rate of legendarys and lower the chance of good stats on them.
To do that they would have to allow global trading with all items.
The droprate is that high bcs they took away global trading years ago.
Thats one of the reason why people complain about this point and hope that they won’t do the same mistake in Diablo 4.
The best example where it works is POE…some uniques are rly rare and the trading there works perfectly.
And you have to play the game a lot to farm currency (or something equal good) to trade for the stuff you need.
As said how long do you need to farm the 6p set?..2-3 hours?
How long would u need to farm the LOD Version?..2-3 weeks?
In my oppinion more effort should be more rewarded…but I accept you oppinion.
Would be nice if you can explain me why less effort should be more rewarded in your oppinion…I simply want to understand your point here.
I agree with you on all points. It’s much more challenging and enjoyable IMO to put together a really good LOD build.
I agree that gearing for LoD builds would take longer, and more time and effort should be more rewarding. I just dont like that its something that already exist. LoD should be more focused on skills/playstlyes that doesnt have their own multipliers from a set. It’s like having 2 copies of 1 thing, but one is slighter better than the other, and making the other one inferior and less wanted. I rather see a new mechanic being implemented/used for us to play with.
As said sets would be good for early- till mid/endgame…but if you want to push the 1-2 G-Rifts to get Top 10 f.e. the LOD build should be the way to go.
Means you farm about 70-80% of the time with the set but for pushing G-Rift u switch to the LOD version simply bcs its slightliy better than the set version (ofc bound to much more effort to farm the required pieces).
I have to disappoint u here…Diablo 4 is right behind the corner and new mechanics wont happen in D3 anymore.
Maybe 1 new set for Necro and DH in S21, some new Legendary affix, balance here & there… but thats it.

I can agree with that out of season. But not in season.
Proper LoD builds in season are for bots, so I can understand that Blizzard make those builds worst than sets or the same.
Anyway the Game is destroy by bots and hacks, so there’s no really point to argue this, you can still play LoD builds with decent results if you enjoy them.
No one would play any sets if legacy of dreams was better… They are releasing a new set for every class – sooo……
Maybe once the new car smell fades away LoD will be better again.
that doesn’t make sense but u want to know why endless walk and bastians of will can add
