This has occurred for a while now, even in the previous season. The first time I log into the game it freezes and I have to Alt f4 out of the game. Before the character loads into the game, all I see is the Templar without his shield/weapon from me froze in place.
A new issue is - I received an error about the shop. I don’t know if they are related.
Freezeng is happening since end of 2017 and Blizzard keeps ignoring this. I’m experiencing this from over two years every day. I had two machines since then with different systems from Win 8 to 10 and sympthoms are exaclty like you described.

If you want to provide a DxDiag, that can help pinpoint the problem:
- Press Windows Key + R.
- Type DxDiag and press Enter.
- In the DxDiag window, click Save All Information.
- Name the file “dxdiag” and click Save
- Paste the DxDiag into a new post, select and highlight everything you just pasted, and hit the (</>) button. That’ll make the information much more readable.
