Great. Wonderful. Balance is amazing. But please, and I’m literally begging, do not balance based on the feats of those with 7-10k+ paragon. It simply does not reflect the vast majority of players, or literally anyone playing seasonal. It’s downright impossible for a 1-3k paragon player to walk into a 140 solo with all offensive gear and not be instantly dead. These people with 10k paragon are literally only able to do it because of the 10k paragon propping up the weaknesses of a build.

This is interesting. I relish the opportunity to have something to chase after, and I think I’d lose interest if i reached the cap, and all I could hope for would be to clear a GR 2s faster.
Hasn’t happened for me yet, but since people poke out their eyes every time they see a small nerf, the power creep is set to continue and this is becoming an issue.

It does sound like it. 6pc is fine as it is though. The 2pc is effectively another 300% multiplier. This kind of 2pc bonuses might block future akkhan updates. Hope they play aroune with the 2pc numbers rather than 6pc.

Numlock trick as far as I know has never been givin a green light by Blizzard

Macros are built into almost every gaming mouse. Razor, Logitech ect.
They also allow players with disabilties to play as well.

Microsoft windows could technically be based as third party program as you cant play the game without it on PC.

And dont start me on Mutliboxing

If they’re smart, they’ll take this opportunity to re-add the Lamentation bonus to at least 100%.

This would:
Show they are listening to the community
Show they are adhering to balancing the classes/builds
Barbs will be a bit happier
S19 will start with a lot less sour taste for many (I don’t even main a Barb but was planning to start the Season with one for the 1st time ever).

Win-Win situation.
Not doing anything is a Lose-Lose situation.

The players that solo’d 150 already had 150 gems from 4 man, not a big deal at all like it was in the past where OP builds would be 20 GR’s higher than any 4 man could do.

This was when Diablo 3 had trash killer with various combinations (x2 DH, 2x Wiz, DH + Wiz)

The game is designed to run on Windows, that’s kind of a requirement (on PC).

You can’t take the gaming mouse into equation as the macros are built into the software, which is almost never required to use the device.

Wow, what a throwback! Thanks for sharing. I’d forgotten how much I hated that iteration of GRs, where you had to do the bloody trial first.

the new monk set has a serious problem.
when using flurry rune of Tempest rush, the 6 set(15000%)buff is gone and not adjusted to the big boom after stacking, cause monk should stop channeling to do that. i want this to be fixed. Making a new set for TR / SW was really something to be welcome for us, but now SWK TR is approx 4~5 x stronger than the new set just due to this. + if you could just buff TR a little more then it would be really great that we could finally enjoy the new speedrun meta. You should also consider the old Rat run meta which is lasting for more than five or six seasons and we definitely want something new and competitive. The highest GR that TR monk can reach will not be over 140 even if you would buff it a little again, cause most of monks remain under 130 now while they have monster paragons . IMO 2x dmg buff cannot break the balance

And nice idea to nerf this insane crusader, but dont take the whole possibility away from him to be a new rgk, we desperately need a fresh, new meta for group plays :slight_smile: Thanks for keeping delivering new stuffs to us after 8 years of the release

And in PTR people always test new things, especially buffed builds, not everything. And usually they don’t fish like crazy like in live server and push a build to its utmost, except in 2.6.7 one pushed the WWRend with inpossible gears, paragon and augments which are cannot be archieved in live, and possible results in the Lamentation debuff. Basically rely on PTR result alone to ballance the game is really crazy and stupid.

Hi Nev. thank you for the response. I’ve read your response carefully and have some suggestions which i’ll add below.

Bazooka nerf is not the problem but they way it was nerfed. Even if the nerf worked players would still prefer to play wizard LON 48 which is a slightly weaker version of Bazooka. Currently the Devs can’t even touch wizard’s sets in the fear of another monster waking. I’d suggest one of the following:
1- Put a channeling timer on deathwish. ( While channeling [Arcane Torrent], [Disintegrate], or [Ray of Frost] for 1.5 sec, all damage is increased by 250-325%.
2- Make starpact meteor to land immediately upon cast with a reduced delay just like Thundercrash rune.

I wish the balance team never changed bone ringer and instead changed the thorns passive for Necromancer class. Aberrant Animator passive is a 200% thorns to pets. Changing that to 100% easily would have nerfed thorns while not affecting other pet builds that relied on bone ringer stacks AKA Hybrid lancer, Crit skellies etc.

But my totally balanced 148 clear!

Yes please. More emphasis on that point, this new crusader set can replace properly nerfed Bazooka in the Meta and i can confirm that. Nerfing it Blizzard’s way (nerfing it to the point that its offsprings are also affected and incapable of walking) will make wizard the king of trash killers again for the 8th season in a row.

At the moment Aegis of valor 2 set works this way 2x2x2 = 8 times or a 700% multiplier. maybe make it so they don’t multiply each other but stack so it will be a 300% multiplier.

Not really. Follow the meta is a must-have for any game. You cannot expect people to babysit you when you play a build without any damage nor ultilites or using an useless build and push really high. Have you seen anyone play Axe-Throwing Barb in D3?
The problem here is the current meta is too limited around a low number of builds. More builds need to be viable in solo and group play, in both total and for each class.

at this point can we just disable starpact as a rune if we can’t get a fix? some variety would really be nice

Exactly this!

Why not just remove the damn starpact rune? It’s very clearly outperforming all other trash clearer build by freaking miles, at this point. It embodies the literal definition of an outlier. Removing the starpact rune will solve most of the balance issues that surrounds trash-clearers right now.
