Lilith - Ideas for her plot

I think it would be great plot twist to colaborate with Lilith against a common enemy during some part of the game and at some later point having to face and defeat her…IT would be interesting to colaborate with an important demon like her (even if her intentions are not good but she is more like forced to colaborate with us for some reason) It would be a nice plot twist imh

Since those in the know, doesn’t want to chime in, ive been left to gather my own information. If inarius was the renegade angel/liliths lover, wouldn’t that make lilith the renegade demon? She opposed the ideas of the 3 primals. That’s why im very curious as to why the triune would summon her and who the real threat is. Unless they expand on the lore and somehow they rekindle their fire for another.

There’s been a bunch of discussion going on in a few threads about where the story will take us. After we’ve had some parts confirmed, different ideas have form.

Now that we know it’s some Triune guy and most likely not Rathma summoning Lilith in the announcement cinematic, most seem to think that she is summoned to help them defeat either a once-again returning Diablo, or the now-overpowered Nephalem.

I’m leaning towards the latter, and think that we will find Lilith a formidable enemy, making us venture into hell to rescue Inarius to aid us in defeating her and the Triune.

At that point, I’m imagining a return of Diablo in some way that we will not anticipate but that will seem obvious and heavily hinted at when you replay the game, and that’s when Inarius and Lilith will instead unite to defeat the intruding Prime Evil and protect their creation, Sanctuary.

Of course, we’re all just trying to create stories here. I guess we just can’t wait to see what it’s actually gonna be.

What do we know for sure, Lilith does not care for her Father nor his brothers, and Inarius banished her to the void. The heavens have been closed and no one knows what became of the Nephalem. Lilith killed the renegade angels and demons when they killed her children (she wanted to use them herself). If Inarius sent her to the void because he would not kill her, why was it so easy to bring her back?

I’ve been thinking about why the Triune would be summoning Lilith as well - and that’s why I think it’s to defeat the Nephalem, because it wouldn’t make sense for them to want to fight the Prime Evils. It’s still not completely clear why they go to her instead of them, though. Perhaps they believe the Prime Evils were actually vanquished, and have opted for another demon to worship …?

Lilith definitely isn’t all bad, since her and inarius created sanctuary and the first nephalim. But she definitely can’t be trusted either. The whole point of her being a demon woman scorned is cause inarius contemplated wiping out the nephalim therefore she went on her killing spree of fellow renegade demons/angels. So we know she opposed the triune and the idea of killing her kids. So maybe she came to realization her sanctuary is being threatened by another character or maybe she realized inarius was right and nephalim were too powerful? Or maybe she might try to gain her father’s good grace back? Lots of guessing here.

They did say while she is the villian I believe, there is something in the horizon a hurricane

I had the vibe from the panels that D4 is a reboot. Lilith is the first storm before the hurricane hits.

Wait, he’s not priest of Rathma? Weird considering he posses a look his order is known for…

You mean like how great the plot of The Last Jedi was?
Let’s stick to killing demons on sight and getting the loot, please.

Here’s what I’ve speculated:

The High Heavens have abandoned humanity to their fate by closing its doors.

-> Diablo, Duriel (seen in the trailer), and other evils have returned — and they are united in the goal of conquering Sanctuary (I mean, they probably each want their own land and don’t interfere with each other).

Humanity is unable to fend off the assault and they are on their last leg. Thus, Diablo 4 cinematic takes place. People say it’s Rathma. I don’t know much about the lore, but apparently, Necromancer are big on conserving the balance. With the High Heavens out of the picture, the Burning Hells have uncontested authority upon the world of mortals.

Rathma seeks to awaken Lilith to restore the balance. Lilith would oppose her brethren and protect her children. Naturally, Lilith has her own ambition. With the help of our “blessed mother”, we would push back against the force of Hells. Obviously, Lilith is not a righteous being, so we will end up doing morally questionable things in the process.

Ultimately, Lilith’s goals will crumbles around her when Diablo reveals himself (to set up the next XPAC).

if the Angels have closed off Heaven… and are no longer helping humanity…
and the 7 evils are freed again…
Tyrael isn’t coming to save us… maybe Lilith will protect humanity from the demons?

think about this…
Lilith is our blessed mother…
the 7 Evils still want to kill us, we are left to fend for ourselves…
Human summons Lilith to save us…
all this points to Lilith being the good guy… our savior against the demons…

AND

Lilith with our help her children… we could destroy the 7 Evils for good this time…

Lilith probably wanted this from the beginning, planned it out and knew that we could destroy the forces of hell… and destroy the forces of heaven…

AND THEN WE ARE THE GODS NOW…
gods that live in peace for eternity with our blessed mother…

that sounds like heaven bro…

have faith Nephalem
have faith in our blessed mother
have faith in Lilith

Heil the Creator of Sanctuary
Eternal conflict over

let’s just betray the angels… with the forces of hell destroyed, we should then kill the forces of heaven too… just like Malthael predicted…

Eternal conflict over

^^^^^^^^^ interesting.

However

The ETERNAL conflict, good versus evil, angels vs. Demons, his opinions vs her opinions, the ETERNAL disagreement

Just like in the high heavens and the burning hells, im just not sure it ends.

I don’t want to break anyone’s hype but, has anyone thought of the more than probable connections that will exist between the story of Diablo Immortal and Diablo 4?
I mean; In Diablo Immortal our group of heroes will kill demons to snatch fragments of the stoneworld … stoneworld that Lilith could use, as she did in the past, for … what?
Many possibilities!; Corrupting the Nephalems, opening portals to hell, infecting the world with evil … before this our group of heroes will look powerless and would need angelic help to stop Lilith’s evil plans, but the high heavens are closed so the only ones Angels who could help us would be Tyrael… or Innarius.

Post data: Also in Diablo 3 we had Kadala collecting blood shards… and blood, for Lilith, is the key…

OH MY GOD I JUST REALIZED SOMETHING IMPORTANT!

time for a lore question…

at the end of D3 Tyrael said, the nephalem have the strength to defeat the champions of hell, and heaven… but one day the nephalem will have a choice to make… will he be tempted to darkness, or stand for the light? but inside him beats a mortal heart…

now Lilith has always wanted for the eternal conflict to end right?
she wanted her children to be both dark and light and to choose for ourselves
to be free…

so in D4 will there be a faction system?
1 faction who chooses to represent light
1 faction who chooses to represent dark

IT WOULD BE LIKE THE HORDE AND ALLIANCE IN WOW

Lilith would be the ruler of the Dark faction
Tyrael would be the ruler of the Light faction

it could make diablo 4, literally unending… with 10 expansions…
D4 COULD LAST FOR LIFE BRO

of course we the players would get to choose our faction…
then with their idea of PvP zones, which they announced already…
could be heavily faction based!

what do u guys think?

So you want a repeat plot of Leah from D3?

Hopefully they don’t pull a D3-style story crap and make her a sympathetic/good demon.

that idea ^^^ seems a little over the top, but anything can happen right? now the problem with people mentioning tyreal; isnt he shut behind the closed doors in the high heavens? or is the going to covertly meddle in the affairs of sanctuary like he’s always been?

also someone mentioned a possible reboot and had me thinking if that is so, then they would be picking up along the story lines of the SIN WAR saga. only problem with this is they clearly said at blizzcon that d4 picks up some decades after the events of d3.

Tyrael probably grew old and died.

After D3 was destroyed through consistent WoWifications, how about we stick to what’s good for Diablo and have less WoW nonsense into the game, and it might actually turn out to be a good game.
